Kitchen Faucets with Standard Connectors?

The side sprayer on our kitchen faucet needs replacement – the pull out hose has split, and we’d like a longer hose. (The faucet is a Delta. The pull out hose is about 48".) Longer hoses are available on Amazon, but the reviews say the included adapters – that allow it to work with Delta speed connectors and other brands – suck. And leak.

Even before the split hose I’d been think about replacing the fixture, and am now interested in getting a faucet that uses a “standard” screw-on spray hose. (I was considering replacing the Delta, a modern single handle design, because the shut off mechanism has become finicky and often requires extensive wiggling of the handle.)

Any advice about faucets with standard connectors, or any other aspects of this scenario?

Sorry to tell you but all the pull out hoses are proprietary now. Best you can get is American Standard which uses a NPSM thread so at least you can find an adapter.

Better idea: get a Grohe, My Grohe pull out faucet has been in constant use since 1993 and is still leak proof.

Mike—Thanx for the info, even if it wasn’t what I wanted to hear.
