Know of a forum/message board for over 40s?

I think that one of the great things about message boards is that your age DOESN’T matter. Anyone with a keyboard, an opinion, and a rudimentary grasp of the English language can contribute. What’s more important about an on-line community is the level of erudition and ability to articulate. Both are pretty high here.

I have no idea, nor do I try to guess, how old anyone is. And I think that’s great…TRM (who is well over 40)

No big deal; I deal with tons of people who are younger than myself on a daily basis, but at some point I’m going to want to talk about Blue Oyster Cult rather than Coldplay; books and films rather than MySpace or Twitter.

I’m 54 and don’t really know what you’re talking about. Yeah, there are threads not of interest to me here (the current music scene, for instance, and blockbuster movies) – I don’t read them. If there are no threads reflecting what you want to talk about, why don’t you try starting a few?
