Kudos to Entertainment Insiders obit site (for several reasons)

An excellent show-biz obit site, covering many passings that are not noted anywhere else (people even I’ve never heard of!). The web master is very religious and an enthusiastic Republican, and of course his personal views are reflected on his site, which sometimes rankles this wild-eyed, godless left-winger. He posted an obit of transsexual porn actress Camilla de Castro, referring to her as a “shemale” and adding, “I guess it would be easy to say that such a person was confused and lost in many ways and leave it at that.” Hmmph! I sent him a very nice message about that, and he immediately changed the entry to read:

So, a plug for a good obit site, and the very nice guy who runs it!

Careful Eve, you’ll get the SDMB PC Police down on your neck.

Howcum? I called a religious Republican a “very nice guy” and plugged his web site!

Oh, a while back I posted a thread about a TV show that included an anti-gay slur. I emailed the producers and they edited out the slur. When I posted about the edit, a couple members of the PC Police accused me of being overly sensitive and a tool of censorious oppressors.

. . . But I am overly sensitive and a tool of censorious oppressors!

A great site for keeping up to date on the passings of many of my favorite obscure character actors of yesterday. My God, he even noted the passing of the soprano who sang the “Ahhhhh-ahhhhhhh-ooooooh” background wails of the original “Star Trek” theme.
