La-Z-Boy recliner prices?

Does anyone have any information about typical prices paid for La-Z-Boy double recliners? I have been Googling, and have been unable to find prices anywhere on the web.

My wife any I ordered two of these today, and I am suffering from a bad case of buyer’s remorse. I think we may have paid quite a bit too much.

Both double recliners were the La-Z-Boy “Branson” style. One was a floor model on sale for $969 (list price ~$1500). The other we got in leather, and was quite a bit more than the list price.

For the latter, I thought the price was pretty steep, but I wanted to make my wife happy. It turns out, after the fact, that she though the quoted price was for both recliners! We ended up spending much more than we had planned.

Mods: if this thread is more appropriate in IMHO, feel free to relocate it.

Which leather? Nubuck, premium, performance (cheapest, most expensive, in between, respectively)?

I was just in a la-z-boy store today, and a $1500 list price would have been on the high side for a majority of the chairs (which were usually around $800-$1200). There were, certainly, $1500 chairs, but not very many.

The list price is for a certain fabric style, the fabric that’s on the floor model. You’d expect leather to be a bit (or even quite a bit) more, perhaps other fabric a bit less.

We just bought a “performance leather” (everything you touch is leather, the sides and back are synthetic) la-z-boy SOFA for $1800 list, the premium leather that we almost talked ourselves into was around $2200.

I don’t know what, if anything, this tells you about your situation.
