I - love- the smell of aftershave. I do not like mansmell. Sweaty people smell like saddle leather I have been socially conditioned to believe that that is a bad thing.
I think a light touch of aftershave smells positively irresistable.
My wife seems to prefer me w/o aftershave. I find this strange, because she gives me aftershave stuff regularly.
She works in the fragrance industry and brings home the obligatory free samples for employees after the annual holiday party. She keeps the womens stuff but she also stuffs all the mens cologne/moisturizer(men’s moisturizer? WTF?)/pre-shave/‘Eau de Pet’ in my side of the bathroom cabinet. I found out quickly that any time I tried to wear any of it for her, she’d just say, “Jesus Christ, Count… You smell like Work!!!”
