Hate socks if it’s even slightly warm. Can go a whole summer without them.
My wife rarely, if ever, wears socks in warmer weather. She probably hasn’t worn them in weeks already, and she could well not wear them again until after Labor Day.
I haven’t worn socks since moving to warmer climes in July last year, indeed, I haven’t worn a pair of shoes in that time either.
In the summertime, the only time I wear socks is if I’m putting on my walking shoes. I take them off the minute I get home. The rest of the time, I wear sandals of some kind or another. We were folding laundry the other day and I had a grand total of 2 pairs to put away.
In colder weather: if I’m working from home and don’t need to go out, I won’t usually wear them at all. If I do have to go out, I’ll need socks.
I wear socks to bed.
I didn’t say I wore anything else.
Plenty of mornings when I got up, I used to hear, “You’re naked!”
“No, I’m not. I’m wearing socks!”
Now I live alone and nobody cares. (I haven’t polled the neighbors. I do make an attempt to throw a shirt over myself once I’m up and padding around.)
