Ladies, tips for growing out bangs lest I go mad. please

Always have had bangs, now, for various reasons, I’d like to grow them out. but bobby pins, barrettes, nothing seems to keep this effen hair out of my eyes. And sheesh, talk about not touching your face?? Please let me know how you got thru this, please?

Alice band? Head scarf? Copious hairspray?

Bandana? It sucks, it sucks a lot, but it’s worth it in the end.

I have thick, very fine, very straight hair and nothing whatsoever will keep that hair out of my eyes, damn stuff can be two feet long and it still won’t stay behind my ears or in a braid or clip. That is why I have bangs and a hairdresser’s thinning shears.

The probably most effective thing is one of those terry stretch headbands tennis players use.

Or a surgical cap.

Have you tried clipping or pinning your bangs back while they are wet?

A skull cap? Handful of bacon grease?
I feel your pain, really. I’ve been growing my bangs out for years, and if I ever get my hair all the same length, there’s no doubt that I’ll turn right around and cut bangs again. I’m cyclical like that.

Pretty much this. Mine go like this: Get them cut exactly to the level of my eyebrows, and they are perfect.
One week later, curl them (a couple of different ways–single curler in bangs when they’re wet, curling iron, curly brush when drying)
Three weeks later, brush to the sides, usually with a side part, sometimes with a middle part. Sometimes with curl, sometimes not. (My hair is wavy, sometimes the bangs wave to blend in, sometimes they wave to stand out.) Assist them to stay out of my face in various ways including headband, barrette, and little comb.
Three months later: cut them to exactly the level of my eyebrows, again.

Tough it out. It’s terrible.
Sorry.

This reminds me of why I haven’t had bangs in 27 years. I think that gel or mousse helped a bit?

These days, even some of us guys are having problems with bangs. I haven’t had hair this long since the 70s.
