It’s mostly the big boobed ones that do it. I’m thinking even if that top was supposed to be my size, now it no longer is.
I realize that some things just don’t look right on a hanger or lying flat. But you can get one of those half-mannequin things for under $10.
I’ve never bought anything from ebay
but… sure, if that were the only issue. I buy clothes from goodwill all the time. I buy clothes off the clearance rack that people have probably tried on…
'course, if it were only one garment and it fit a big-chested model, it wouldn’t fit me anyway.
I buy from eBay all the time. I prefer to buy NWT (new with tags), but have bought NWOT (new without tags). I’ve never received an NWOT item that didn’t look spanking new.
I also don’t recall buying anything from someone who modeled the item. It wouldn’t dissuade me - in fact, it might be nice to see how it actually fits on a real person.
I’ve seen the sales you mentioned (big boobs), and I doubt that selling that item is their particular focus.

This thread needs more links. For research purposes.
Heh, You know for a split second I thought to myself: “I need to go to Ebay to see wht the hell the OP is talking about”
Then I thought: “Ah, Jeez!! Am I really this pathetic?” :smack:
I moused over the thread title, saw the words “big boobed” and clicked the thread. Absolutely the only reason I’m reading this thing, since I’m a guy who’s never bought a single piece of clothing on eBay.
Yes, we are all really that pathetic.
I’ll take that one step further: I read the thread title as “Ladies, would you buy new clothing from ebay, that this seller is modeling?” and scoured the OP for a link, even though I’m a guy who’s never bought a single piece of clothing on eBay.
I do that for some of my eBay sales, but it’s not women buying the stuff.
I wouldn’t buy it. Then again, I’ve never bought from ebay, I don’t wear the types of clothing shown in the examples, and I’m not real big on buying things that I haven’t had a chance to try on–too many articles of clothing that I do have a chance to try on first dodn’t fit the way I hope they will-- why would I assume that something I can’t try on will.
Plus there is something about the pictures in question that make me not be too eager to wear the articles under discussion, even after running them through the washer on high heat, which would probably guarentee they wouldn’t fit.
In the abstract, seeing an item on a real person, preferrably one who clearly has a waist which is smaller than her hips, and hips which are not skinny, might persuade me to buy something better than a size 2 model, or a hanger or fake person-- some of which bear so little resemblence to my proportions that knowing that it looks good on them doesn’t help me decide if it will look good on me.
Dive for cover, boys, I think she’s gonna blow! You gotta be careful with stuff like that; you could put somebody’s eye out.
And, if I were female, and buying clothes on ebay, and sized like a more normal lady, I sure as heck wouldn’t want that specific top, now that it’s all stretched out…
Holy crap. It’s one thing to model a sweater or something but buying one of those examples is like buying underwear someone had on. Then again, I get the feeling the people buying it might be doing so for that very reason…
Wow. That’s awful. Like Velma said, it would be like buying used underwear. Which, btw, I cannot believe they sell at goodwill. Really people, some things you need to buy new.
Whatever you do, don’t click “Click to view supersized image”!
Pervos love used underwear.
Thong? No.
Brief? Maybe.
Okay, she ain’t selling that to women.
