Been thinking about getting this done. I’ve got the skin tone and hair colour that they say is very well suited for this and I’d love not to have to shave my stubble under my jaw (throat area) and the back of my neck.
So anyone have it done? How’d it go?
I had it done a couple years ago. I can’t recommend it. I was supposedly an ideal candidate in hair color and skin tone. $3,000 for six treatments to my back and shoulders and I’d say there was maybe 40% reduction and that’s being generous. For the money I spent I could’ve had the same areas waxed once a month for almost nine years.
We recently had a woman die (yes, die!) locally from a reaction to the numbing cream she was given by the facility for laser hair removal. So if you do decide to go ahead with it, make sure to work with a facility with appropriate medical supervision.
I tried to have this done on my underarms. I have blond, thinner hair (I’m not sure what the “ideal” is). It did not work. My hair got darker and thicker. The same thing happened to my sister. YMMV. . .
