Last night's Craig Ferguson Rocky Horror Halloween Opener

http://youtu.be/sroqmHVueiI

So much awesome packed into three minutes.

Thank you! Two of my favorite things at the same time.

Three of mine: Craig, Halloween and Rocky Horror! Throw in some Doctor Who and it could have been four.

He did put haggis in the TARDIS later on in the show.

Is that code?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

Worst musical opening he ever did. They barely moved. And the lip-syncing was like watching a Japanese monster movie.

And sexy zombie babes.

It was cute, and the zombie babes were great, but it was no Honky-Tonk Badonkadonk.

I’m a Craig fan but I must say I agree. I’m surprised by all the love for what seemed worse that his usual standard, to me.

Did you see it live? Because I assumed that was just the audio being slightly out of sync with the video on the YouTube version. Did it air like that?

Quite a few people in the comments seem to think Craig actually sang that.

He played Brad Majors in the early 90’s in London with Anthony Head from Buffy playing Frank N Furter. They talked about it last time he was on the show.

I DVR’d it, so it definitely aired that way.

I’m a Craig fan too, and I’ve seen all the other musical openers. Really, this was by far the worst. So it was from Rocky Horror. That doesn’t automatically make this version good.

Zombie Babe Threesome would make an awesome band name, BTW.

I’m just happy they do them. But if it was subpart it could be, to some degree, because it was rushed.

According to Mark Evanier, who happened to be visiting the set on Monday (he’s a friend of Neil Gaiman’s), they had decided last week to not do the musical number and then apparently Ferguson showed up on Monday and said “let’s do it after all.” So they were rushed in putting it together and had limited rehearsal time.

Thirded with my wife and I. We did not like it much, either, and we love craig.

Oops I did it again is our favorite one he’s done, though.

I didn’t love it either, and I usually adore their musical numbers. It could just be that I’m not familiar with the song.

My favourite song opening of his is Istanbul.

Addicted to love - it’s true what they say - you can’t be a comedian if you have any shame.

Amanda Palmer, Moby, Stephin Merritt & Neil Gaiman doing Rocky Horror on the show. Gaiman steals the show.

See what happens when you rehearse?
