Lavender Creamed Honey - ideas what to do with it

I indulged in a jar of this wonderful honey. I buy honey from a booth at the Christkindlmarket every December, and this one they don’t have every year so I nabbed a jar. (Also, vanilla bean honey, and elderberry honey) Aside from dipping a teaspoon into it for an occasional taste, I’m looking for other ideas what to do with it. It was… not cheap, so I want to be conservative with it, and go a bit gourmand if I may.

It’s been lovely in white and green tea. I also placed a dab of it into the center of a larger dab of goat cheese on top of a water cracker, or with bleu cheese on an apple slice as appetizers for a small dinner party. Delicious.

I don’t find spreading it on bread or waffles or pancakes very appealing, and I’m out of ideas. Anyone?

I’d make cream scones and also buy a jar of clotted cream and some very good loose tea. Then I’d make cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches. I would have a very fancy teatime… for just myself, if no one else wanted to play.

This isn’t the kind of stuff you want to cook with, so I’d advise you keep going on as you are until it’s gone. Then buy more.

That sounds quite nice, and know a couple friends who would join in on that. Good idea!

Crusty white bread, thin layer of butter, drizzle of honey, sprinkle of sea salt.
