The mini-con went well yesterday with about 450 people showing up (we were expecting 300). We’ll be having a joint meeting with the other sponsors next month to begin planning next year’s event.
The apartment gets a lick and a promise today, along with the rest of the laundry. I also need to go to the Sketcher store for some new shoes.

The event yesterday was fun; seeing a lot of people I haven’t crossed paths with since October. We got some info on this years convention as well (St Louis). But no great earth-shattering news for this year. At least not in our region.
Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization and brunch. Both were good. We’re all fed and happy. I foresee nappage in the very near future. I’s sleepified.
I cleaned the kitchen and dusted the apartment. I have Eastern BBQ style poke chops marinating in the fridge, to go with the sweet **N.O.T.**s and blackeyed peas for dinner.
Ha! I am having pork chops,black eyed peas and sweet taters too.
My housemate’s kitty has been ill recently, and we weren’t clever enough to figure out what it was, so he took her to the vet. She had cancer. It was too far gone, and she was put down. She now has pride of place in the back yard next to the fence.
The house was in a sombre mood this weekend.

Returned from Blue Man Group (some old stuff I’ve seen before mixed with new stuff, and as always a lot of audience participation…it was a fun afternoon. And my hearing may return to normal sometime Tuesday, if I’m lucky (BMG does not do quiet introspection…)
{{{BatKid & housemate}}} In the last 5 years, we’ve had to put down 2 dogs and 2 cats. It never gets easier, but we knew it was the best thing for all of them.

Eastern 'que style meaning marinated with red pepper flakes and apple cider vinegar. And if you don’t understand “poke chops”, you’re not paying enough attention in the MMP.
