I don’t have a big problem with him starting new threads written in his normal style (although, I agree with the SNL analogy, in that ALL SNL skits go on too long). Like most OPs, it kind of sets the tone of the thread and they’re easily avoidable.
I worry about him posting in that style in a “normal” (for lack of a better term) thread and totally derailing it. Admittedly, I haven’t done a search for his posts to see if this is happening.
We need some entertaining whackos to go with all the dead serious ones. Fortunately or otherwise, they tend to burn out and leave after a while. But while they last, the fun part is watching the rest of the Dope riff off their various quirks and hangups.
Not that I would ever stoop to that.

I agree with Shodan’s post, 100 percent. Sometimes, though, some really interesting posters get grouped with the fun wackos, and they get banned or run off or whatever, and I end up really missing them. I just wish the mods would ease up sometimes.
Honestly, for me, the entertainment comes not from those who are trying to be entertaining but those who are genuine wackos. And it’s clear from some of the posts from “the K-to-the-Z” that he can be lucid and the wacko thing is just a put-on.

I’m thinking of changing my user name to “And Shit,” so people will write “…you don’t know what you’re talking about, And Shit, when you impose your stupid opinions, And Shit, on the rest of us…” and so make themselves sound incoherent. WIN!!!
This is also my sense from looking at the history of his posts. His more whacked-out missives have recently gotten him a lot of attention, and he now seems to be adopting that as his persona. Personally, I think that posing as being stupider or crazier than you actually are in order to invite ridicule from other posters is getting a bit close to trolling. We just don’t want this to get out of hand.
I have to admit at first, I thought he was some teenager who was completely illiterate. In fact I was surprised he hadn’t been pitted, banned… and shit!

Yeah, very much a put-on, which is really the only slightly uncomfortable thing about it, to me. I don’t think that’s really such a bad thing, but I am a little confused by a request to “Leave him alone.” He’s trying so hard to draw attention to himself in the first place; it isn’t like he’s getting picked on if somebody points out that his shit’s all fucked up and shit.
