If my legs aren’t shaved, I won’t wear shorts. Even if I’m home alone, or its just my parents home.
I just…it feels so weird, and I’d be so embarrassed. Its 31C out right now, and I’m in a pair of pants.

actually, i find i sometimes have a problem with a lot of GUYS who have hair on their legs…it just has a lot of potential to skeeve me out…
what woman DOESN’T let her leg hair grow out in the winter? i mean, lets be honest - who doesn’t shave under her arms during long-sleeve season 
and if anyone wants to feel a little jealous, one of my ex-boyfriends didn’t care if i shaved my legs or not…and to test him, i went for a while without doing so…he honestly didn’t care, thought it was fine and ‘natural.’ Does the fact that he’s a Theater major enter into this? I have no idea.
We’re hearing from all the women posters that their SO’s don’t care if they’re hairy. But the two men that have posted said they like smoothness. I wouldn’t mind if more male dopers chimed in and told their opinions.
BTW, I shave. I like the feeling of smooth legs. But if my boyfriend said “I don’t care if you have leg hair”, or “actually I like hairy legs on my women”, I’d not shave at all. It is a pain in the ass.
And also BTW, I use Venus, and i love it. It’s the only razor I"ll buy now.
just don’t use that new Intuition blade with the bar of shaving solid (or whatever it is) already around the razor - it’s nice the first two times…then you’re scraping your legs up because you ran out of the solid and all that’s left is the plastic frame onto which it was molded :smack: …absolutely pointless.
actually, what i would like to know is…when it comes to being hair-free, what do you prefer? shaving or waxing? …i shave because i dont want to submit myself to the torture of waxing. But then again, i’ve never tried waxing…is it all that bad?
I understand that it’s an annoyance, much like us men shaving our faces and, it may seem like women are giving in to cultural pressure but, I don’t understand the alternative.
I mean, when a women who decides not to shave her legs puts on stockings, is it desirable to see that matted mess?
Not to me.
The hair on my legs isn’t very dense or dark, so nobody would probably notice if I didn’t shave for a couple of months. Normally, I do it every week or every other week and mostly for myself; my husband has never expressed a strong preference.
One thing I really like, however, are shaving’s exfoliating benefits. It gets rid of all the dry skin on my shins, especially in the winter. (When it’s really bad, I use Nair, which blasts all the dead skin to kindom come!)

LucysLogic101, it depends. Some women don’t think waxing hurts too much. Some do. For me, it’s fine on my lower legs, but a bikini wax (or even a thigh wax) HUUURTS, to the extent that even if I want one, I can’t put the spa lady through watching me try to be that brave.

I’d prefer no shaving over regularly scheduled but relatively infrequent shaving.
Of course, the girls I’ve dated that didn’t shave/wax/foo tended to have rather sparse/fine leg hair- it it was unecessary to shave, more or less. I’m not sure how I’d feel about a girl with a leg hairy factor matching that of your average boy.
If I had to pick smooth vs. natural, I’d probably pick smooth… but I wouldn’t bother making an issue of it if a girl chooses otherwise. I suppose the fact that the situations where I’m likely to be running my hands (or other bits of skin) along some girl’s legs are, ah, not one’s I’d be inclined to postpone to discuss personal grooming habits should also be taken into account.

I shave my legs for myself, and no one else. And i know that evetime i step into the shower to perform this stupid ritual, that i will emerge from the bathroom with the little tiny pieces of toilet paper stuck to my legs, yet i cant seem to stop myself. *shaking head…call me a glutton for punishment.
Arm pits…i never really cared about unless i wanted to wear a tank top or sleeved shirt that revealed my underarms.
Bikini area…I say if you’re going to do it…go all the way!!! If you dont think you are limber enuff…ask the SO to help. Some men find that very erotic and wouldnt mind sitting there for how ever long it takes. And to those that think that men that find that attractive have a “little girl fetish”, on the contrary. Most like it for the feel, the cleanliness, and the lack of yet another hair they pull from their teeth. I know I’m extremely grateful when my SO takes the time to “snip it down to nothing”. And on a personal note…ladies…it just feels better when you’re being “intimate”
