Thanks in advance for any help! Here is the situation. In July we filed chapter 13 to resolve the debt of a house 75% underwater and no longer safe. The Atty called it a strategic bankruptcy. This was discharged in Dec with the house being surrendered. At this point our attorney told us that the housewas still in our name until foreclosure and we needed to ensure that the lawn was tended aand the property was insured, which we have done. I have just received a dismissal and discharge of lies pendens from the banks attorney. Does this mean the property is no longer our responsibility? I can and will call my attorney tomorrow, just wanted to know if it is time to breathe a sigh of relief. This has been a long and difficult road. Thanks for any help.
