It even reminds of the SNL (or was it Mad TV?) skit where Jesus gets so fed up with the constant thanks for every single minute piddling event (“Thank you, Lord, for the toaster working so that the toast, for which I also thank you, was ready in time…”). Essentially, some folks just can’t separate the idea of religion from the idea of Life.
