Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Woohoo, winter has started kinda early here in Denver. Now; I live in a kinda meteorlogially strange area of denver, because i get about 3 times the average precipitation, but I am so happy in the last three days. I’ve gotten about 13 inches of snow in my yard so far , which creates many good thoughts. Even thought I live in a strange area, the mountians still usually get twice what i get at my house.Which means, the ski areas must be getting much more than me, and this ski season is off to a good start. And, with this kind of a start, the mountains must be on the way to getting a good base, and next summer should be much better in terms of water to fish in, and lack of fire bans for camping. Not to get ahead of myself, but this looks really good for the next 12 months.

Forecast for Northern lower Michigan is for 6" of snow starting tonight after midnight!!! Gotta love the lake effect snow we get on the west coast. Can’t wait, I bought a snowmobile late in the season last year and am looking forward to lots of riding this year. The kids and I will be sledding soon.

Bah, I move from Colorado to the UP, and we have NO snow. WTF? Lower Michigan and DENVER getting more snow than me? What kind of joke is this?

I’m sure come February the UP will win the snow count.

I am in Ohio.
The average today is supposed to be 53.
Its 42 and will get lower!
This is not normal!

Hopefully, we’ll be South next winter.

My son likes, snow, but wishes it could happen when its 50 degrees or so.

I dunno, it feels colder than 42 to me today in Columbus, but I could just be a wuss. . . I really would like to have some snow, tho’. Then I could build a snowman on my concrete lawn.

Here in the Detroit area, they were projecting snow flurries for Halloween. Doesn’t look like it will happen due to very few clouds in the sky. But any snow flurries in October/early November is still fairly early for our area. Late November is the norm with one year we didn’t have a snow fall until Dec 31. But it is coming.

Winter is coming.

Let that stuff start fallin’! I got my season pass and I’m ready to rock! Normally, there is at least one minor snowfall by Halloween. There was not one this year. Lets see what happens…

where I live, we have 2 and a half feet of snow already i some spots. Poeple are ski-dooing. It was -27 today.

It was so ice out, that my pet polar bear that I ride to school even fell down.

We had more-than-flurries this afternoon, which was exciting. It didn’t stick, but there’s plenty of time for that. It left me wandering around grinning for a while… :^)

5 more inches tonight, and I hear the ski areas have gotten over 2 feet each, nice start.
