No dear, I’m just way behind…
Hi! It’s great that you’re doing this!
Reddish-blonde hair, green eyes, female, 30. How long will it take me to find a new job that I enjoy?
Thanks!
Well, I tried to only read one question, and I got bits and pieces of of both.
Your cards:
Covering you: 4 of wands - Perfected work, peace after labor, romance
Crossing you: The empress - dissipation, material wealth
Beneath you: Ace of swords, reversed - Obstacles
Behind you: The fool - Desire to accomplish a great goal, subject is a dreamer
Above you: 7 of pentacles - Pause during the developement of an enterprise, disappointment
Ahead of you: King of wands, reversed - Would be lover turns jealous, work interfered with
Your fears: Moon, reversed - Imagination will be harnessed by practical considerations
How others feel: The card of death - This card does not predict death; Transformation, destruction followed by renewal, birth of new ideas and opportunities.
Your hopes: 5 of swords - Conquest of others, failure, unfairness
Final Outcome: Six of cups - happiness, but coming from the past. New knowledge and new opportunities, meeting with a childhood acquaintance.
Interpretation: Well, I was only going to answer your first question, but you got a little bit of both in there.
The general atmosphere of “perfected work” may explain why you are having trouble with your novel; you started out with the idea of writing a great nove, but you are trying to make it perfect and this is hindering your progress. Also your job hunt is sapping your energy for your novel. There is a pause in your writing that is in your possible future - this is probably a good idea to get past your current frustrations. I keep seeing mention of a romance, possibly hindering your novel or your job search - is there someone like this? If not now, be aware that someone in your future may cause you these problems. You’re afraid that your novel will never be completed because life will get in the way, but I don’t see that happening. Interestingly, it looks like your final outcome has to do with your job. I don’t see anything that indicates you will be moving, but it does look like you will find a job. This may come about from a meeting with a childhood friend; your new opportunities seem to be coming from someone else. Or it may be that someone who knows you now, wants to move you into a new function.
BTW - artist to artist: Every work I have ever conceived of is still there, with mental notes as to what needs to be done and how much I want to continue with it. I may not do everything I’ve ever conceived of, but if I really want to continue with something, it’s there waiting for me. And all art should first be a labor of love - if you don’t love what you are doing (even when you’re sweating blood) you’re just a hack.
And you might want to check out a book called “The Artist’s Way”
KeWll!! Thank you, Madame Zyada. You know, you seemed to hit several spots head on. (I’m just glad you didn’t tell me to go crawl in a hole somewhere :).) As a matter of fact, I do have a possible job lined up that may or may not pay enough. And me applying myself to the job is only half of the equation, the other person has certain things to do to make it a success, things to do that I can’t do for him. But I will do all that I can on my end.
Thanks again.

Can I get a reading to? Please???
in the secret hope that it will speed up my request. :D:D
(Just kidding, Z.: no rush. I still think this was a very generous offer of you, one that you’ve probably started to regret making in the first place but will never admit to.)
I have to say as some others,
this is very nice and sweet of you to do.
And I hope you don’t get tired of it
till you get to me.
Thanks for your advice. The novel I’m working on is indeed a labor of love. I’ve had parts of the story rolling around in my head for years while in college, and the ideas in it are important to me.
I had not considered the possibility that my stress over the future could be interfering with my ability to focus on the novel.
Omni-not - no, I’m not sorry I started it. I just wish I wasable to get to people quicker.
I used the queen of swords as your significator. Oddly enough it looked quite like my mental picture of you (and I have a really pretty deck)
Your cards:
Covering you: 10 of cups, reversed - Loss of friendship, betrayal
Crossing you: The magician - Will, organizational skills, mastery
Beneath you: Judgement - A life well lived, work well done
Behind you: The devil, reversed - Beginning of spiritual understanding, overcoming of pride and self-interest
Above you: Ace of pentacles - Beginning of wealth, prosperity combined with beauty
Ahead of you: 10 of pentacles, reversed - Family misfortune, old people become a burden
Your fears: Wheel of fortune, reversed - Failure of an enterprise
What others hope or fear - Burden, suffering
Your hopes: 3 of cups - success
Final Outcome: The world, reversed - success yet to be won.
Interpretation: I see several things happening in this reading. The event that is at the forefront of your mind is the loss of a friend; which is happening now or just happened. This is actually not a bad thing for you; your friend is drawing away because she (or he?) is jealous of how well you do things and live your life. You have had a spiritual epiphany recently which has widened the gulf between you two. Another concern which you have is a new enterprise that you are starting; your hopes and fears are centered on this enterprise. This has a distinct possibility of success, but success not immediately nor easily won. Finally (and sadly ) I see some indication that an older family member may have health or other problems and need to lean on you some to survive. They don’t like this; they don’t want to be a burden to you. IMO, the tarot never mentions bad news unless there is something that you need to do. Perhaps now is the time to consider what would happen if a parent couldn’t live alone, or had health problems. What would you do? If you knew they were to die tomorrow, would you do anything differently? I also want you to realize that this might NOT happen. Prepare for the worst, but believe in the best.
45, female…dyed blonde hair…almost six foot tall!
I will be anxiously awaiting your reply.
BTW, male… 6’1"… bald as egg (used to be brown)
And completely unable to follow simple instructions…
Sheesh.
I’m 36.
Covering you: The queen of rods - a blonde woman, a nature lover, practical with money; also may indicate of love of growing things
Crossing you: Ace of swords - conquest, great activity
Beneath you: Queen of cups, reversed - domineering or obstinate person
Behind you: 6 of pentacles - Gifts, gain in material unertaking, you have recieved what you deserve
Above you: 8 of swords, reversed - New beginnings now possible
Ahead of you: Hanged man, reversed - Arrogance, absorption in physical matters
Your fears: 7 of cups - Dreams, your forces have been too scattered, deception
How others feel: Judgment, reversed - Disillusion, separation
Your hopes: The chariot - Triumph, control over the forces of nature (such as your own passions)
Final Outcome: Success, pleasure, victory
Interpretation: There is a blonde woman who is very important to you. However, this doesn’t seem to be a long lasting romantic attachment. At least, you are thinking of her in terms of victory and conquest, rather than love. It’s possible that she is simply a partner (or adversary) in a competition, but I think it is more likely that she is someone you are dating or are trying to get her to go out with you. Even more likely, you have gotten her to accept a date with you, now you have your eyes on the prize. You will accomplish this. Be warned: victory is not in your best interests. It is working against you, so you will find that the conquest will keep you from personal growth and the love you could have with this person. Victory will make you arrogant and focused on physical pleasure rather than emotional happiness. There is another woman involved that you know who is a controlling or obstinate person; she is what is fueling your fear of deception and keeping you from having a deeper relationship with the other woman.
Boy, that wasn’t a very happy reading, was it?
ultra-filter, it really isn’t that bad. At worst it says that you will have success at what you are trying to do now. Just that you might have something more than that if you look at what is going on a little differently.
Or maybe you’re in sports and you’re going to have a winning season
Covering you: 2 of pentacles, reversed - Forced gaiety, inability to handle two situations at once
Crossing you: 3 of cups - Abundance, pleasure, good luck
Beneath you: 9 of cups - Material success - you will get your wish
Behind you: Ace of pentacles - Beginning of wealth & material gain
Above you: Knight of swords, reversed - extravagance (however, destruction may come about through the knight’s activities)
Ahead of you: Strength - Force of character, love triumphing over hate
Your fears: 7 of wands, reversed - You are threatened, ignorance
How others feel: 8 of swords, reversed - New beginnings now possible, freedom
Hopes: 6 of pentacles - you will receive what you deserve
Final Outcome: The fool, reversed - Folly
Interpretation: Your love life has hit a snag recently because you have become more successful. Are you self-employed? It looks like you are making more money, but that is interfering with your ability to maintain a relationship. You can afford to be extravagant, but this may backfire. You feel like you are being threatened, but the other person only wants a new beginning, or freedom. You have two distinct futures: your love can conquer all, or you can let your fears destroy what you have, which would be foolish. It’s up to you
And if this doesn’t sound right concerning your love life, be on the lookout for a woman named Briana (no, not me!) - the name means strong
huh.
well, work wasn’t quite what I was looking for, but I can see how it fits in.
Thanks for taking the time!
