Yesterday, I posted the location of a hack that is reported to speed up vBulletin queries to the MySQL database.
The original message is gone … might have been a forum glitch. If it wasn’t … why was it deleted?
Well, I don’t know where it went, but I did respond back, saying that I thought that showthread.php had most of the enhancements featured in the hack you linked already in it. Have you tried it out on your Cyburbia board?
One might also point out that the administrators of this board are very reluctant to use any sort of “hacks” not officially supported by the folks at Jelsoft. For very good reason, too: Any hack at all would instantly cut off all tech support we might hope to get from them. As soon as they see that we’re using a hack, they just say “forget about it”.
