Let the A-Team countdown begin!

I really enjoyed it, a lot more than I thought I would <and I expected to like it>
The only time I was thinking ‘wtf’ was when everything on the docks was blowing up. Seriously, wtf? They didn’t bring that many explosives, and I can’t think of anything sitting at the docks that would blow up like that. It was…really out of place. Yes, I know the rest of the movie was a stretch, too, but at least it made sense. :stuck_out_tongue:

But even that was not bad cinematically. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you for this! We did indeed leave before the end of the credits, so it’s good to know what we missed.

And put me into the ‘Big Fan of Murdoch’ Club. I liked the first Murdoch, and love the second Murdoch, though it seems the actor is really more of a producer, so I don’t expect to see him in much. What a shame!

It appears that Sharlto Copley was also a major character in the movie District 9, which I hadn’t seen. Which I am now going to watch, just because of him. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, I was wrong. I watched about 1/3 of the District 9 movie, but…by the time the scene where they made Copley’s character shoot the alien weapons was through, I was just about vomiting.
Saw too many concentration camp movies when I was in grade school to ever be able to watch that kind of thing happening again for entertainment.

But he’s a good actor.

I started a thread here a while back on “The Losers” and it went nowhere. Hell, even Ebert liked it.

And two pages on this? I just don’t get it. I guess there were more A-team TV watchers than there were The Losers readers. Which I don’t get either. Oh well…

Well…maybe a poll is in order? I had no idea The Losers was anything but a recent movie until you mentioned it. I read tons, and always have, but…graphic novels? Not so much.
I think a lot more people watched prime time television in the 70’s-80’s than read The Losers, yes. I don’t find that surprising, though.

How dare you compare this filth to Speed Racer. Any film where John Goodman does martial arts is an instant classic.

If by “Martial Arts” you mean “Completely mop the floor with some poor Nonja”, then yeah, totally.

And Speed Racer came out favorably from the comparison, thankyouverymuch!

True enough of course, but then again this is The Dope. I’m sure a lot more people watched Laverne And Shirley than read The Losers too but that doesn’t mean it would make a good movie.

Let me just say this, if you like movies like The A-Team do yourself a favor and see The Losers. I’ve seen both. The A-Team is OK, but The Losers is far superior in dialog, lighting, plot, acting and just about everything else. It’s over the top sure, but not too much. Don’t get me wrong, I liked The A-Team (and it’s big name stars) I was just surprised no one else ‘got’ The Losers’. Jeffrey Dean Morganis is too sexy for words as is Zoe Saldana. There aren’t really any good representative clips but this one is close.

Sorry for the hijack - carry on.

I didn’t know Sharlto Copley was in District 9 and also played Murdoch. Murdoch was my favorite character when I watched the show as a kid, I think he did an excellent job with the character.
