Yeah … tough choice, Julia or Bridget in 2001. Kinda like Ginger and Mary Ann.
ALERT: An hour-long America’s Test Kitchen 25th Anniversary Special is on PBS tonight at 21:00 EDT.
… If you’re interested.
Is that a repeat? If so, I’ve seen it a bunch of times… but I will check it out, just in case.
Bryan Roof is my favorite guy.
Erin McMurrer is my favorite female presenter.
BTW, Elle Simone was a very large presenter who has become very skinny… alas, she is recovering from ovarian cancer.
Dunno if it’s a repeat; my schedule doesn’t say. Either way, I haven’t seen it before.
I don’t think this is a rerun.
I think Becky is kinda hot, in a “my best friend’s mom” way.
Ginger couldn’t/wouldn’t cook.
Hey, Thanks.
The one on Milk Street with the long dark hair is really cute. She can fry my grits any time she wants.
Those poppyseed and walnut rolls look absolutely delicious.
Here’s what the Polish/Eastern European section of canned meats looks like at my store:
There’s more canned fish cut off to the right. And there’s also the American canned meats in another section. Some of the more interesting stuff here includes canned goulash, pork ribs with hunter’s sauce (basically, a sauerkraut sauce), blood sausage/black pudding (kiszka or kaszanka), cabbage rolls, some kind of fish paprikash, head cheese, liver, etc.
Wow, that’s quite a selection!
Makes me homesick!
Great photo, perfect for the thread! Now turn the cans so we can read the backs of the labels, lol!!
The sprats I mentioned upthread are at attention in their jars and some more in the black & gold low cans on the bottom shelf. The Rugenfisch herring fillets at 2 o’clock are very high quality and staples in my pantry and desk drawer at work. They come in a bunch of sauces and flavors, all good to excellent.
Edit: oh, shoot, I forgot about the little hams! The dozens of little gold foil packs with labels out of view in @pulykamell’s pic are little single serving hams, pates and mousse portions. I like them with a few squirts of vinegary hot sauce, also work desk drawer residents.
