Charlie (7 1/2) is no longer afraid of the horses. He had a bad fall at 5 yo and knocked out a tooth. He’d been nervous around the horses and hasn’t even ridden since. Thursday, he haltered, led to the arena, and turned out the pony, Cookie. Later he collected her and returned her to her paddock all by himself while I was with another horse. Then he declared he was ready to take lessons again. I’m so proud of his bravery!
The last couple months his taste in music has really become defined. He loves Led Zeppelin. He pulled out Suburban Plankton’s box set and has started listening to them quite a bit. And the other day a Boston song came on the radio and he declared, “This isn’t Led Zeppelin, but I really like it!” He got a replica 1977 tour t-shirt for Christmas and it’s very cute to see a kid wearing a t-shirt from a concert 21 years before his birth.
