Pantellerite pal, I don’t know if we can keep these Dopers in check until July or August. But I do know we’d love to see ya.
So I’m going to suggest that we congregate at will in the near term, and just agree to reaggregate when Pantellerite shows up.
So, I am currently proposing both a late May/June meeeting, and I’ll scout locations soon, as well as a late summer meeting.
So sorry to miss this…I have never met a TX Doper I didn’t love dearly.

Well I’m thinking of something like Woodrow’s or The Boat. I’m not dead set on either. My thinking is that they are relatively centrally located, which is a factor as we’ve got northside and southside people interested. They’ve got covered (for shade) open-air decks (accomodate smokers and non-smokers) and they’re restaurants, so minors can attend.
Those are most of the parameters I’ve considered. Just to get things started, I’ll propose either Saturday, May 25th, or Saturday, June 8th, starting around 2:00 PM and lasting 'til whenever in the evening (to accomodate various schedules).
