I don’t think it is that simple. There are rabble rousing leaders and there are rabble. Racist rabble fit your description. Rabble rousers however I think are often quite capable. Unfortunately though their capability is rousing racist rabble by telling them what they want to hear.

You’re not going to get any example of famous racists (which seems to be what you’re looking for when you say “successful”) nowadays, since being publically racist would be a huge drag on anyone’s success.
FWIW, I agree that losers are more likely to become white supremacists than successful people. But that just means that the ideology has a particular appeal to losers, and does not show anything about the validity of the belief.
[It also seems to me that losers are more likely to be militant atheists, although I’m not as certain of this as I am about racists.]
