You get that we aren’t talking about people at a sporting event, but rather, people that call into a phone call for children about Santa in order to get an insult in on the president, right?
And we are also talking about and to the people who think that this is perfectly acceptable and normal behavior. We have posters in this thread that are saying that this was an attempt to “get back” at the media for a single reporter either mishearing or “mishearing” a chant at a NASCAR event.
Though I will agree that “tantrum” may not be the right word, I suppose. Pathetic whining and weaseling would be more accurate.
Plus, at the time, Trump was in his motorcade driving from doing his usual Stupid Trump Shit, on his way to doing more Stupid Trump Shit. Whereas Biden was on a TV show talking to kids, kids who have now had two Christmases in a row disrupted by COVID, and was trying to make this Christmas just a little less of a suckfest for those kids.
Trying to draw a moral equivalent between the two is like saying a guy who shouted “Learn to drive!” at an idiot who cut him off while the idiot was trying to get to Starbucks is no better than the person who shouted “Learn to drive!” at a firetruck on its way to a fire.
Before the NASCAR, people were chanting FJB at those bastions of conservative thinking, the University of Michigan -Ann Arbor and the University of Wisconsin-Madison amount others.
Poking fun at gaslighting media makes 0% sense. It is childish behavior from the party of “family values”. The joker that called in and said it to Biden claims to be “follower of Jesus Christ.” Where in the bible does it show Jesus being rude and something his followers should do? This is nothing more than dipshits doing their thing.
13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me."
He wasn’t being pissy about political issues though, he was ticked off at a temple being misused. The fact that this was (as far as I know) the only time he was recorded as breaking his peaceful demeanor should indicate to a Christian that you only act that way in extreme circumstances.
Amazing how a 90-year professional avoidance of ‘blue’ subject matter in movies, television, comic books, and more… all starting with the Hayes Production Code in the early 1930s… somehow reverted to ‘covering up Biden politically’ the very instant children started chanting the word ‘Fuck’ on national TV.
Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction needs to have a word with you people.
If you read the article, Schmeck is full of gaslighting, making claims that he wasn’t being vulgar, that he was just joking around, that it was " just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner".
Can’t the guy just admit that he just wanted to say “Fuck you” to the president in front of his children as well as a national audience, but didn’t have the guts to do so?
The “poking fun at the media” explanation is just a desperate attempt to avoid the embarrassment of it all. The relatively smart members of the current GOP mess just don’t want to admit that the vast majority of GOP supporters are stupid enough that they are fundamentally incapable of understanding such subtleties.
