Let's have some breakfast in the MMP!

It will keep Spiderman, VunderBoob and Dogwalker away.

Only because there’s not enough garlic in it!
Yes, I know a head contains many cloves; when I cook I add 1/3 - 1/2 a head for each clove the recipe calls for. (I’m not sure how I’m going to die, but it won’t be by vampire, I can assure you that much!)

Howdy Y’all! Dindin has been cooked and et. We et early so OYKW could go back to his orifice to deal with some paperirky stuff, poor thing. ‘Tis also rainy out, so a good evenin’ to be inside and dry.

MOOOOOOM Ima make up a couple beastloaves myself in a little while. One for Sattidy and one to freeze. We likes beastloaf a lot!

Spidey mayhaps you should take your Summer vacation here. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, ok then! I’ll just talk to myself.

Beastloaves have been made. One is in da freezer and one is in da fridge. Have I mentioned that I wear those plastic disposable glove thingys when I handle any raw meat? I do not like to touch raw meat cause it feels icky. It’s a quirk.

Wasn’t pi day a couple of weeks ago? :stuck_out_tongue:

spidey, those things don’t look big enough to walk down stairs. Any non-weather spring has to be slinky-like for me to enjoy them.

Emily, break a leg!

I always go with more garlic than called for. Once, I was cooking supper for a friend and her husband. He couldn’t eat garlic. I felt almost helpless. It’s like trying to cook with one hand tied behind your back.

Ma Nature is PMSing today. It dropped 20 degrees around lunch time and began raining. It was a cold, miserable commute.

**FCD **isn’t a big fan of garlic, so I have to be conservative. But he doesn’t usually complain.

**swampy **- while you were talking to yourself, we were having supper. So :stuck_out_tongue:

The house is now closed because the sun is down and the temp is dropping. It got up to 70° inside - yay! Tomorrow’s highs are supposed to be in the 40s. booooooooo!

Time to recline. *** MWAH!!***

Home from work; it has been a good day all in all. Now to roam the boards.

Swampy – those gloves make for easier cleanup, too, no? I like them for certain kitchen tasks myself as well.

My mom was nice enough to get me a pint of blackberries, but they’re sour as hell. I think I’ll simmer them with sugar into a sauce. I have ice cream, but it’s coffee, so that’s not a good combo.

I’m in a funk, too. No really good reason, I guess. Might see if the aforementioned coffee ice cream does the trick.

Canes win, tar Heels lose. Life is good.

Good luck, Midget!

I have ongoing insomnia woes myself. Add to that the slacker co-irkers, the idiots on the roads, that annoying whiny non-stop noisemaker who sat next to me in a class yesterday, the PITA DH…

I’m shocked to realize there are some annoyances chocolate just doesn’t cover.

We’ve got a box of latex exam gloves in oh so fashionable lavender in the kitchen. VERY advisable for when working with jalapeños!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 64 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of, wait for it, 64 for the day. It’s also supposed to be maybe rainy this afternoon or not. Also, it’s supposed to cool down to the upper 30s tonight! BRRRR! Oh well, the high tomorrow will be mid 60s as well which will be a good thing since yahd irk is on the agenda. ICK!

gotti I’m so embarrassed! :o Here you are with f-aaaaaaa-bu-lous gloves for the kitchen and I went with plain clear plastic.

shoe I don’t know about easy clean up but they do keep my hands off raw meat. Then again, I can make a mess without even tryin’.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. At least 'tis payday.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, off to work. T.G.I.F.

We got to sleep in an extra hour today. My sweetie has an appointment with an orthopedic guy to talk about his knees. I’m guessing it was the first appointment of the day, since it was 7:15. So he’s probably in the parking lot as I write this. I just finished doing last night’s dishes (except for cleaning poor George) and I’m enjoying a PB&J with my homemade strawberry jam.

It’s 45° on its way to today’s high of 46°! In fact, we get 40s all weekend, but starting Monday, it’s supposed to be in the 60s. I’ll believe it when I see it. No plans for today, but I did just finish an afghan - I can take it and the crocheted stuff I took back from the store and run them all thru a rinse cycle before donating them. That’ll fill a couple of hours, while only requiring maybe 5 minutes of effort on my part.

I’m thinking I’ll rotiss a chicken for supper - we haven’t had that in a while and it’s easy. So it looks like my day is set. It’s good to have an agenda.

Happy Firday all!!

Happy Firday!

It’s above freezing outside.

I managed to sleep until 5 this morning.
I got up, made some breakfast, threw a load in the washer and logged into irk.
Logging in was a waste of time, it’s been very slow, but I’ve paid a few bills, and cleared out Words with Friends.
The clothes are ready for the dryer but Sah-son is still asleep and I need him to clear the lint trap. It’s not a normal lint trap that you scoop the lint out. It’s attached to the inside back of the dryer. One day I’ll get him to show me how to take it out, take it apart, clean it, put it back together and put it back in.

I’m going to need a nap after my shift is over.

Happy Friday, mumpers! I have been a bad mumper this week as I haven’t had time to catch up with your goings-on…been too busy catching up from having two days off last week for the builder, and the fact that it’s exam-planning season here so we are very busy trying to sort out lots of stuff for our precious little snowflakes.

At least the weekend is nearly here, but our clocks go forward on Sunday so I will be losing a vital hour of snoozing. Perhaps I will go to bed an hour earlier on Saturday night to make up for it.

On the bright side, only a week until holidays for me!

Tough to get motivated today, but I finally showered. However, I did opt for raggedy sweat pants instead of semi-presentable jeans. So pseudo-motivation. I’m sure a large part of it is the dreary, rainy, icky world I can see from the windows. Even my one teensy clump of blooming crocus that’s visible from the kitchen isn’t enough to convince me that spring has arrived.

Even the animals are in doze mode.

Thanks, doggio.

It was a cabaret. Musical theatre songs. It went well

I want to go out tonight but I’m going to be busy today, trying to get my life in order. :frowning: I’d much rather go out and shirk my responsibilities, but you know, the whole trying to organize my life thing is probably more important.

‘Tis drizzly, dreary, and gray out. Also cooler than it was supposed to be. I fear I may not be dressed appropriately as I chose a short sleeve shirt and did not bring a jacket. I also have a sinus blurf. With it bein’ so quiet at irk, I am considerin’ takin’ off at noon, goin’ to da cave and mayhaps havin’ a nap with Benadryl.
