Overall, I slept well, but at one point jumped straight out of bed with a leg lock in my calf. The only way I know how to get it to release is to stand up with weight on the affected leg, and that hurts like hell until the muscles relax. I also had some fingers on both hands lock yesterday; mebbe it’s time to have my electrolytes checked.
Supposed to get up to 70 today but rain all day too.
It’s pretty sunny right now.
I don’t have specific targets, its almost everybody around me in RL. A lot of small annoyances that by themselves aren’t much, there’s just too damn many of them.
Maybe a shotgun approach?
It doesn’t help that I wake up in the middle of the night every night and have trouble falling back asleep.
Bananas, sure, and cooked tomatoes are another good potassium source. Orange juice – the perennial favorite of advice-givers – has only a middling decent supply.
Huzzah!! FCD has the satisfaction of lien paper in his hot little hand! The soon-to-be-ex of the bike seller finally got her ass in gear and took care of things. It only took 3 months. But it’s just in time for bike season. With luck we can give the bike a quick cleaning and turn it around for a few quick bucks.
N.O.L. has been et. Nummy leftover veggie soup. Also, we’ve been purgin’ some files so that means bein’ in dusty file drawers which have aggravated ye olde sinuses. ICK!
It had the nerve to be stone-free when the ultrasound was done, so the working diagnosis is slightly back-pedaled to “biliary colic” which can be a handful of things that aren’t gallstones. Next step is something called a HIDA scan, which involves a pinch of radioactive stuff and laying still for a couple of hours. Apparently, gallbladders can get lazy in addition to getting clogged.
The house is open and a warm breeze is blowing. The sun is trying to break thru the clouds without much luck. No matter - the fresh air is nice, plus it warms the house without benefit of furnace. Yay!
I got my soy sauce and a few other things at the grocery store. We’re having burgers for supper, and I got enough ground beef to make a meatloaf, too. So shortly I will assume kitchen mode.
I have decided upon poke chops, succotash, wild rice, and rolls for dindin. The poke chops part was easy bein’ as they are thawed out already. I settled on the rest because it will take all of maybe twenty to twenty-five minutes to make it all happen. So, easy and tasty like the way I like my men.
I don’t want to be here. I want go home time. Sigh.
As the Alan Jackson song says, “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere”. Given how often you’re posting from home in the afternoon, I think that Somewhere is the town near Leesburg, GA where your orifice is. :dubious:
It’s 71° and sunny with a lovely breeze. The house is wide open and for the first time in a while, I’m not freezing in my own house. Yay!
I just finished building a meatloaf and 4 burgers. The meatloaf is in the freezer - I think I’ll smoke it with some other beef I bought for just that purpose. The burgers are tonight’s supper.
Then I made a batch of teriyaki marinade, almost botching it! The recipe calls for 3 teaspoons of garlic powder. I dumped in 3 tablespoons! But I hadn’t yet mixed it up, so I carefully poured out the soy sauce/wine vinegar, leaving most of the garlic clumped in the bottle. Then I measured out about a tablespoon and disposed of the rest. Boy, what a brain fart! It may be a little garlicky, but I can live with that. The alternative was to go buy 3 more bottles of soy sauce, make a triple batch, and try to figure out what I’d store it in. I think I’d have been giving it away.
