Let's keep a happy thought in the MMP!

CANES WIN!!! And we had a nice(if chilly) tailgate

Can do.

Go from Da Jungle to Da Hood?

Wish I could. At least the Christmas music server has frequent “technical difficulties”

metal mouse, you just made me thankful for an electric water heater.

sunny, a lot of people cook stuff that they only make once or twice a year around the holidays or have never made but thought it looked good on Pinterest. Hence the confusion at the supermarket.

baker, your challah recipe sounds suspiciously like the one that I used to make from Bernard Clayton’s Bread Bible. It was good enough that my niece tried it when she was learning to make bread. She made two beautiful braids that she left to cool safely on the kitchen counter. The family basset hound thought it smelled good enough to eat and managed to streeeeeeetch himself on tippy toe far enough to snag one of them while she was tending to toddlers. It was as close to injuring an animal that I’ve ever seen her come. :stuck_out_tongue:

I went to choir practice and the potluck after. It was an enjoyable afternoon and evening, but I’s tahred.

Baker, yes I have my iPad and they have stable wifi here (although I guess I won’t know for a couple of weeks if it’s completely secure)

There are times when I believe that only children should be the rule. :smack:

It was 'Beamer’s night to set the plates. 'Beamette’s night to do the utensils. She was taking a long (long) time to get through her portion, so I asked 'Beamer if he would please do the serving utensils, while she did the place settings. He wanted to do his place setting, while she did the serving utensils. They argued about this for several minutes. Then no one did the serving utensils. My daughter threw herself on her stomach across her chair like a toddler and waited for the fairies to get it done. I had to tell her to go do it, since it was her job. She then refused to eat or talk to any of us. Dinner was “awesome”.

Maybe DH and I can eat in the dining room and the kids can eat in the kitchen…

I made the big pot of beef stew, cornbread, rice and some baked apples. Whilst cooking I managed to drink bottle of wine. Not a good idea as I had to take a nap in between cooking and eating. They said it was good.

Our friend Dave hates Main Stream Media. He thinks all our problems as a country are because of Bankers and he also believes 9/11 was orchestrated by the guvmint. His thing today was that Hillary and Huma and others are pedophiles. Claims there is proof. He really is a smart fellow but just a little out there.

missred, the challah recipe is a very slight adaptation of the one in Beard on Bread, by the late, great James Beard.

I think I will try it this week. I like the bread, but I especially like it as french toast. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks, Baker!
