When it comes to the question of supporting a candidate with “a credible sexual assault allegation hanging over his head,” I’m more inclined to take my lead from Elizabeth Warren or Kamala Harris than someone who calls himself Unreconstructed Man.
Indeed. Bernie and his voters were pretty much overwhelmed by a groundswell committed to the Most Important Job – getting Donald J. Trump out of the White House.
You’re so full of shit, you’re the reason for the TP shortage. My god, you sound like a college kid that just had a class or two with a lefty philosophy professor.
Corporations are bad, mommy!! The rich only wanna get richer!!! All politicians are bought and sold by the rich and powerful!!
Big banks bad
Wall Street bad
Establishment bad
And the only one who can save is a useless backbench blowhard Senator. An idiot who has accomplished nothing after a lifetime of being on the public payroll. A petulant child who never got a job until he was 40.
Voters have told Sanders twice that we don’t want his fucking revolution.
Oh, it has little to do with that. Your weird hatred of MLK. The assumption that every woman is a gold digger. Weird, irrational hatred of people who all generally happen to be black. As you can see, I generally am not calling the people who disagree with me and hate Bernie human garbage, you are uniquely so.
Are you going to tell me, by the way, that I’m unworthy of voting for Joe Biden, like you did with Manwich in your little pit thread you were too cowardly to stay in once it backfired?
You are vile, vindictive, toxic, probably racist and sexist, and just unpleasant.

I assume you’re going to throw your vote away on a 3rd party. And you know as well as I do this board is fucked and was almost impossible to reach last weekend and timed out constantly.
Not even gonna deal with your stupid claims of racism.
Your pit thread ran 2 pages during a time when the boards were working just fine. I was there to participate in it. It just blew up on you and you slinked away. Somehow you’re posting here, but apparently board problems are still keeping you from participating in that thread.
I do intend to vote for Biden. Would you like to discourage me? Tell me I’m unworthy? Here’s your chance. If it’s okay for me to vote for Biden, why is it okay for me and not Manwich?
Manwich was pulling the ‘earn my vote’ crap which I detest and I didn’t want to get a warning with the strict guidelines now in Elections.
And, if you notice, I wasn’t in any threads for about 2.5 days, most of the time I couldn’t even reach the boards without a timeout.
Except for vacations, I don’t think I’ve gone 3 days without posting on here since 2004 and I’ve been ripped to shreds and torched in plenty of threads over the years.
It’s not a double standard. It’s based on the numbers and in a democracy, the numbers are what matters. In 2016, sixty-three million people voted Republican and ninety-one thousand people voted Socialist. So like it or not, a Democratic nominee who can attract ten percent of Republican votes is more electable than a Democratic nominee who can attract one hundred percent of Socialist votes.
You might feel there’s no difference between a Democratic nominee who can attract Republican votes and a Republican nominee. But I compare Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to George W. Bush and Donald Trump and I see significant differences.
Oh, he won Iowa by 0.01% of a point? Wow! Holy shit. That changes…actually, nothing. Guess what, shithead? He still lost harder than Sanders. Then he capitulated to the Biden Juggernaut the instant they dangled something shiny in front of his little rat face, proving that he’s just an empty suit with no principles who stands for nothing. He is, and always will be, fucking Ratboy. That’s his future
Okay, you’re missing my point. And using official “socialist” party numbers are ridiculous. Obviously Bernie’s support base is greater than people who officially vote for a “socialist” party, Bernie isn’t even socialist, and that data point makes no sense.
But, to my greater point: Progressives are told “you have two choices, you have to grow up and make the right decision. You have to vote. You have to vote democrat. Doesn’t matter who. If you don’t, you’re voting for Trump”
And if someone decides they don’t want to do that because they don’t support the democratic party or their candidate, they’re absolutely flamed for it. People go on a vitriolic diatribe about entitled unreasonable progressive voters demanding perfection, blah blah. People hate the people who wouldn’t vote for Biden.
But those same people turn around and say “you can’t nominate Bernie, old democratic voters won’t vote for him!” and this is treated as normal, acceptable, and without vitriol, with no blame or hatred directed at the people who wouldn’t vote for Bernie.
Why aren’t those old democratic voters scared for Bernie getting lectures about how we have to vote blue no matter who, that they supprot Trump if they won’t vote for Bernie in the general, and all that? Why aren’t they getting the same vitriol for being expected to refuse to vote for the candidate?
If anyone says “if we nominate Biden, you’ll scare off progressives”, the response is “those fucking stupid ass Bernie bro entitled kids need to grow their ass up and realize that they have to vote blue no matter what or they love Trump”, if someone says “If we nominate Bernie, you’ll scare off the old democrats”, that’s just treated as reasonable, prudent, and the fault of Bernie and not the scared old democrats.
In other words, progressives who doubt Biden are getting a completely different treatment than establishment democrats who doubt Bernie.
Pete won Iowa and tied NH (I’m using that Bernie math, all the cool kids are doing so)
Pete acted like an adult by withdrawing when he saw no path forward (mainly due to the Bloomberg money machine ahead)
Let’s see, who didn’t quit when there was no path forward? Ah yes, Shitbag Sanders in 2016. Take it to the convention!!! Let’s flip those evil superdelegates!!!
Bernie had no path forward in 2020 after his embarrassing Super Tuesday demolishment. But he continued on anyway getting humiliated by not winning a single county in Michigan, Florida or Missouri. Even Bernie Bro central in Seattle rejected him.
That’s a non-sequitor that doesn’t answer my question at all. It doesn’t explain why there’s a double standard in treatment, and even the sentiment you’re expressing is just a continuation of you being a vindictive little bitch.
