Why does he always have that deer-in-the-headlights look on his face? Is he really all there?

What? Again?
Why do people love her so much. Her voice is just grating. I always skip Wow on my Vice City soundtrack.

Yep, we sure showed them Iraqis. Laura, grab my 12 gauge, I need to shoot me some animals and smell that hot gunpowder.

> Let’s slam Bush
Hey lets not, I think Bush is great. Yeah I know I’m stuck in the 80’. Got all her records … on mp3 :dubious: “Wow” is great too. I think I heard something about her comming out with a new record?
Yeah. We never do that.
It isn’t his stupidity that bothers me. It’s his tyranny.
I like that ‘Swallowed’ song, but the rest of them are fairly crappy.
‘What the world, needs now, is another, Bush thread (la la laaa…)’
Why should we slam this evil idiot who has led the nation into war on false pretences? What sort of hard-hearted people are we that we should attack a man who stole a presidential election? And if we were not warned by his crooked financial dealings with Halliburton, we have only ourselves to blame wrt his letting his good buddy Ken Lay and Enron get away with the financial equivalent of mass murder. By the same token, his good-natured mockery of Karla Faye Tucker as he refused to sign a stay of execution on her way to her death should not in any way be taken as a sign that he’s not really a compassionate conservative. And the way his entire administration was led around by the nose by Ahmed Chalabi (who was acting as an agent of the Iranian secret service) should not be taken as evidence that Bush is an idiot surounded by intellectually blinded ideologues who believe whatever they want to believe.
What’s more, if members of Bush’s administration should commit the occasional act of treason by revealing the identities of covert CIA operatives like Valerie Plame, well, it’s all in good fun. No, you’ll never hear a word of criticism from me of our chimpanzee-faced leader and his baboon-based policies. So don’t even TRY to get me to insult the scum-sucking son of a bitch.
How about the smirk? C’mon, you guys love the smirk don’t ya?
Seeing that you will have another 4 1/2 years to start brilliant threads such as this one about President Bush, you really should pace yourselves.
Naw, Brutus, once President Kerry takes office we’ll move on to other topics, although there’ll no doubt be frequent, graphically descriptive references to the previous administration in context of the herculean effort it’ll take to clean up their mess.
Like I said, 4 1/2 years. (At best, that is. Jeb may decide to run, in which case you’ll be waiting quite a while.)
If that’s the case, we probably won’t be posting here, we’ll all be drafted into the army.
No problem, we will logon to ‘boards.straightdope.mil’ or something like that.
Hell, no! Too old to go! Hell, no! Too old to go!
*Sarge, I’m only eighteen, got a ruptured spleen
And I always carry a purse
When a cannon shell hits, I have epileptic fits
And my asthmas getting worse
Think of my career, my sweatheart dear, my poor old invalid aunt!
'Sides, I ain’t no fool, I’m a going to school, and I’m working in a defense plant!"

- Phil Ochs, still sorely missed
I have a feeling that if Most Powerful Dingleberry in the Free World gets elected again (a distinct and horrifying possiblity), we shan’t want for a cornucopia of material.
Everything Zen was alright, but *Machinehead * was way overrated.
