All the cool kids I know are playing Undertale and Fallout, while I’m over here playing the new Starcraft 2 Protoss campaign and The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth x-pac like some kind of chump. The new BoI is cool and all, but I was hoping for some new levels.
Anyone play SOMA? Has good reviews, but I haven’t heard anyone talking about it, which seems odd given its pedigree. I thought the fake scare cam kids would have pushed it to the top for awhile. Or maybe they did and I missed it.
the reviews for SOMA were all pretty good. Haven’t played it, and probably won’t. I’m a wuss. I’ll probably pick it up for a friend who likes scary game,s and just watch a replay on youtube.
How’s the new Star Craft expansion?! Definitely gonna pick that early next year.
If you liked the other campaigns you’d probably like this one, it’s the same sort of setup. One could harshly criticize the whole SC2 story in comparison to the original, but all the same it’s kinda nice to see a conclusion to a 17 year old story.
John de Lancie voicing a major character was a pleasant surprise. He had all the good lines, too.
Repaired my Amstrad with some silver conductive paste and it’s good as new. A CD-to-cassette adapter and I can load games (that 5-10-minute load time though)
Commodore 64 repair was easy, just yank out and replace the defective SID good as new.
PC Engine has come back from a friend repaired, looks lovely!
Famicom is still unrepaired though.
New acquisitions…a near-mint Atari 800XL, an Atari STE and an Amiga 500.
But two steps forward, one back…the STE’s casing was destroyed in the post, and the 500 was so badly damaged from clearly sitting in a damp spot for 30 years it’s utterly dead.
The Starcraft 2 LOTV story, and especially the epilogue was a trainwreck. It was actually kind of impressive how ridiculous it was. It’s a really good thing the missions were pretty fun.
