I really don’t understand why some people feel compelled to respond to people they think are constantly unreasonable. “But we’re trying to squash ignorance!” No, you’re not.
If someone’s been on this board for the 6+ years of its existance and has 22,000+ posts and is still ignorant, then they are a lost cause (not that I’m calling Lib a lost cause, but I’m sure that’s some people’s opinion of him).
If he bothers you that much, then I suggest you follow Left Hand of Dorkness’s recent advise on ElvisL1ves: ignore him. Stop responding to him. If, as monstro says, he’s just an attention whore looking for any kind of feedback be it good or bad, then not responding to his posts will take away that attention and maybe he’ll go away. If that’s what you want. But I really don’t think it is.

We’ve tried it, and it doesn’t work. He’ll repeatedly destroy decent threads time and time again. We ask him politely to take it to another thread, he flips out and cries persecution. Or someone simply asks for clarification, and it takes about fifty more posts until we finally get it.

In the thread I was in he clarified right away. The problem was that posters either didn’t get his explanation or just seemed insistant on nit picking his wording {which was admitedly less than clear}

TVeblen, it’s no longer an off-board link, which is what he was told not to do. Dewey Cheatham Undhow has a list, essentially, of Liberal on Libertarianism that he drags out when arguments over the topic arise with Liberal. That list isn’t nice either, but neither seems all that much more jerkish than many behaviors condoned here. At any rate, CarnalK’s list is not much different from that one that has appeared frequently.

Thats not the answer. IMHO mods already warn too much, having them warn for hijacking will just make it worse.
