I felt bad for Pesca when she went on and on about how stupid the idea of naming the child South would be, really the stupidest idea ever. Really, more stupid than naming a child North? In a family that has embraced a name theme/pattern before? It was just incredibly rude to go on about it the way she did because she was essentially and very obviously calling Pesca stupid.

I think the next child should take the mom’s surname and be called Bo Joran.

When I got into radio, there was a trend of getting out of the classical music game. The trend is all but complete.

So casually stating that public radio is killing off classical music lest classical music kill off public radio. Because there is a strong possibility, which I won’t deny, that maintaining that format would be financial suicide. Older listeners who supported fund drives are dying off and are not being replaced with GenX and Millies who love classical music.

That bothers some people more than Kim Kardashian on the Saturday funnies, and it’s not NPR’s fault.

Yeah, I don’t listen to Wait Wait, but here is a page with the shows from the last year, and the guests include Clay Aiken, Jeremy Piven, and Lance Bass. It doesn’t seem like some super high-brow thing. Was there any outrage when Jeremy Piven was on the show?

Piven isn’t that angry Jewish man from the show with the boobies and drugs; he is that nice store owner from PBS!

“Liberals”? Are conservatives more enthusiastic about her? Is she on Rush Limbaugh a lot or something? If you divide the culture between those who “get” Kim K and those who don’t, I doubt that division is along party lines.
