ROFLMFAO!
The hipocracy, it burns precious, burnnsss.
I’ve got over 800 posts.
I have never posted an op (not counting the Pit) purely to ellicit a reaction. I respond to questions and counterarguments in debates.
I have not confined my posts to a single topic as a troll would. I've posted in threads ranging from Zen koans, the definition of art, physics, and comic book trivia.
On these boards, troll is a serious insult. I demand an apology.
I started this thread with the question: “Life continues beyond physical death. Is this proof of God’s existance.”
Got jumped from behind on the life after death thing, but now I believe the evidence has shown that to be true.
Now, does anyone want to discuss the existance of God in relationship to the Near Death Experience. Or is everyone tired of this and want to stop.
Er, just curious, Doc, what is “EtherPsychology”?
You can believe it all you want, but that doesn’t make it so.
Untill you’re willing to actually debate evidence and arguments brought up against you, instead of saying “you didn’t read my pages” and the like. You’re not open to debate, and are unwilling to even honestly confront evidence contrary to your possition, instead insisting that your own evidence (Some of which is highly questionable itself), and a very poorly sampled set of experiences, counter everything else. Your argument rests on something you have failed to prove, and which you intend not to prove.
And even if we assume NDEs are true, even without evidence, it still has no bearing on the existance of a god. I’m pretty sure someone pointed that out on, oh, page 1 or so…
but now? But Now?, BUT NOW!?
But now what? Is there a page 6.5 that I missed somewhere where you actually presented some evidence? Or better yet, started to debate this topic as was suggested over a hundred times in this thread.
To be quite honest lekatt, I read your OP and was quite interested in the topic. Unfortunately, you left it unsubstantiated for SEVEN whole pages. And I felt no need to contribute to yet another poor attempt at a “it’s my way or the highway” thread.
Bah.

Guess not, OK.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we are poweful beyond measure.
It’s our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves: who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of the universe.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There is nothing enlightening about shrinking,
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the glory of the universe
that is within us. It’s not just in some of us: it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
And as we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

This thread is ending, want to make it on a positive post.
Now is some kind moderator would just close it forever, that would be nice.

If this thread is ending, perhaps I have just enough time to hijack it.

Answer#1- I am an Etheric Scientist. I have not only seen the light. I have measured and analysed it. I have slipped the surly bonds of earth (the mind is connected not only the brain but to the very fabric of the universe), and touched the face of God
Answer #2- Esprix says that we all have the right to be fabulous.
Answer#3-I’m Gumby dammit!

Can you not hear the music within you.
Can you not feel the greatness.
God creates only perfect humans, can you not see.

Can you not type a question mark ?
Well, maybe there are exceptions.
WTF?
If you don’t understand it, explaining wouldn’t help.
Student: Teacher, I’m having trouble understanding how white light can be divided into a rainbow of constituent colors using a prism.
Teacher: If you don’t understand refraction, my explaining it to you wouldn’t help.
[the teacher is immediately fired]
With EXTREME prejudice…
I can’t recall who said this-
“What is jazz?”
“If you have to ask, you’ll never know.”
But the opposite is true with enlightenment. A student who merely listens, has learned nothing. It is the student who requires explanations and who asks the teacher endless questions who moves toward enlightenment.
In the Passover Seder, there is a parable of four sons. The wise son asks for the meaning of all the symbols and rituals of Passover. It is for this reson he is called wise.
Scholars do not merely read the Torah, they question the meaning and significance of each word.
Thus, by asking 'What does this mean?' Musiccat does not demonstrate an inability to be taught, but the root of all wisdom.
It bothers me that lekatt seems to be saying that if somebody doesn’t understand him they are at fault for not being able to understand, and refuses to accept that he isn’t explaining clearly, or at all.
By the way lekatt, I read the stuff at your website. Not convincing. The anecdotes are interesting and worth investigation, but not proof.
