I did not realize that he had actually decapitated her! I always thought he had stabbed her to death.

If I remember correctly she had indeed “almost” been decapitated. While her head might not have actually been severed, the amount of force required to perform such and act and, implicitly, the amount of rage required to perform such an act is abhorrable.
To the child I’d think the distinction between Daddy severed Mommy’s head and Daddy almost severed Mommy’s head would be understandably minuscule.
Sydney did not yell anything. OJ is currently looking for the person who shouted the actual profanities, and I’m sure he will have a suspect in, oh, 15 years from now.
See, the problem is, not too many murderers hang out on golf courses.
All OJ would need to do to find the real killer would be to buy a mirror. And he said he couldn’t afford the search any more!

If she didn’t spit, they must acquit.
Maybe he’s psychic and knew that Sydney was going to be accused of using profanities; that is a good good place to look for people who are profane.
I feel sorry for the girl too. I don’t excuse her behavior, be she has to be messed up bad.
I thought when she was a little girl, she would grow up to be beautiful.
