I installed it this weekend and don’t see much difference. I think I don’t use my phone enough!
One thing I did notice is that if a notification comes on my lock screen I can touch it then it says “Use touchID to go to [the app from the notification]”. I kind of feel like I was doing something wrong before because I could never get directly from the lock screen to an app. But now I can. Maybe just the notification is new!
It also told me that if I strike the wake button on the side 5 times rapidly it’ll call 911. So that’s cool.
I’ve not encountered this. Still plays down the list fine for me. Have you checked your settings? Not the global settings in “Settings,” but in-app, in your library, each podcast has its own individual playback settings.
I love this improvement. You used to be able to sweep notifications on your lock screen left or right. One way offered you the option to delete the notification, the other way let you go to the notification’s app once you fingerprinted or entered your pin. It was too complicated.
I was making a post here and got words in the wrong spot, so I thought I might use their amazing new drag-and-drop to reposition them – faster than c&p, right? I select the text, hold my finger down to get the draggable thingy, and as soon as I have it, the keyboard drops, leaving the text box inactive and unable to take what I am dragging. Meanwhile, if you touch anything for an extra half-second while scrolling, you end up with a thing to drag. Seems like they could have put a bit more thought into this (and into making multiple apps more practical).
Generally like it. Two things:
-Can’t see podcasts in a list. Slows down my browsing
-Still not a lot of ‘force touch’ functionality. Seems like a pretty clever idea, but very little is being down with it.
