I just treated the family to Lilo and Stitch on DVD - about seven minutes into the action, there’s a scene where the Galactic federation (or whatever) are working out where the stolen police cruiser will land. In that scene there is a distinctly Pigletty alien and a rather Tiggerific one too - coincidence or intentional?
It’s mentioned in the IMDB trivia section for the movie, and supposedly many of the other aliens resemble other Disney characters but I never noticed any other than those two. My son and I just watched it again yesterday morning. Good flick. I love the music over the opening titles, and the “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” surfing scene.
Don’t have the DVD yet (I’m waiting for the sooper-deluxe edition that’s supposed to be coming out soon, with director’s commentary), but I agree completely on the music. I picked up the soundrack CD just to get those two songs from the Mark Keali’i Ho’omalu and Kamehameha Schools Children’s Chorus – though getting a few Elvis tunes was a freebie.
