I heard someone say that Clinton’s claim was a bit hinky, because at the time he was 9 and going to school in Arkansas the buses (or schools?) were not segregated? Can anyone verify this, one way or the other?

Can’t speak for Little Rock, but I can tell you that no matter what the courts might have said about desegregation, the schools in Lynchburg, Virginia were still segregated as late as 1963.

If you are looking for contradictions you will always find them. If you are looking for explanations you’ll find them too. I think my case is a lot stronger than yours because I did not rely on misrepresention of Clinton’s quotes.

I’m not sure you could read all the posts in this thread, at least, all of my posts in this thread, to miss the high possibility that I did not really mean to make a conclusive argument that Clinton was a prevaricator. One might go so far as to say that I was parodying the standard practice of the right.

At least it’s good to know that I don’t have a reputation here.
