Lindsey Lohan sentenced to morgue duty

I am trying to get the link to work but can’t seem to get it, but thought it was pretty creative sentencing.

Of course it begs the film quote that will be on every entertainment news program.

"I see…

Hmph, from this story

The hell…?

That’s a stiff sentence!

Hopefully she’ll get some rigorous on the job training.

Geez  - judging from the thread title and considering the recent news about Brad Renfro, I thought … well I’m glad it wasn’t what I thought it was.

When Nicole Ritchie got busted for DUI she served an 82 minute sentence, so apparently this is pretty standard for celebrities. I don’t get how anyone figures that someone would learn a lesson by spending less than 2 hours in jail.

The other night, while bored and flipping through channels, I came across her recent movie Just My Luck. Not a great movie, but what I saw of it I enjoyed- and it was mostly due to her. She’s got an incredible screen presence- she’s fun to watch, and is (generally) easy on the eyes. Mean Girls was a great movie, and I even liked the latest *Herbie *movie (mostly due to her presence).

Why the hell does she have to be so fucked up? It’s a like a train wreck several years in the making- if ever there was anyone in need of an intervention, it’s Lohan.

I was pretty impressed that she did a decent Brit accent (to my non British ears anyway) at age 11 or so in the movie where she plays twins.

Does she have to work until someone gets killed by a drunk driver?

Not all celebrities get special treatment:
Keifer Sutherland

Less and less these days. Redhead + vastly excessive sun exposure = serious skin damage.

But yeah, such of her movies as I have seen I have quite enjoyed, including Mean Girls.

God, I hope not.

Keifer S. may have had his wild days, but he’s really a class act- he also arranged (before the strike) to have his jail time during the break from 24, so that no one who works on the show would miss a paycheck.

The 82 minute thing is a “book in-book out” procedure. They’re pretty standard, even for non-celebrities. Say you’re required to serve three days in jail as a condition of probation: you already have credit for the day you were arrested, so you show up at the jail late at night, get booked in, stay past midnight, and get let out in the morning. Lohan already had her day in jail from when she got arrested, so she just had to go to jail, spend 82 minutes getting booked in, and get released.

Man, is that screwed up. We need to fix the laws so that 3 days means 72 hours.

Lohan seems to be trying to clean up. She went to re-hab and stayed in re-hab. There are no pictures of her partying her ass off. She reportedly fell off the wagon on New Year’s Eve (the paps have been keeping tabs on her, it’s not like she can do anything without the world seeing) and has not been seen drinking since.

If she is seriously trying to clean up her act, this and the hospital work may actually be beneficial.

That lucky bitch.
