Well you have to have a Google+ account, for which you need an invite. Once you are signed into your account, you just right click on your name to get the link location.

So, as far as I can tell, people do not not need to approve being put into someone’s circle? Or is that a profile preference I haven’t discovered yet?

That’s correct. You can put anyone into your circles you like–but you won’t see any of their non-public information until they put you into one of their circles.

So here is a stupid question…how do you send a message to people in your circles? I’ve been trying to message each of you on the dope, so it didn’t look like a spam ad, and I can’t figure it out.

You make a post and then share it with just that person rather than with any circles. It’s a little clunky. I hope they make an easier way.
