Lipstick Remover?

:stuck_out_tongue:

Okay For reasons that dont need to be listed here Iwas wearing bright hooker red lipstick that was very very cheap. When i removed this lipstick i was pretty shocked to notice that my lips had been pretty much stained. My question is How do i remove a cheap red lipstick color off of my lips???

And i encourage all of you to read and answer my other questoin about the brady bunch.

I find that baby oil or vaseline works pretty well.

thanks I’ll give that a try and if it doesnt work you’ll be hearing back from me

I’m not familiar with this problem (I used to make lipstick, not wear it). However, I can tell you this: lipsticks and other makeup staples are made using pigments, which are insoluble. This allows color to rest on your skin without penetrating. Dyes, on the other hand, are soluble; they will disperse molecularly in a solvent, and can stain skin. They do not lend as much useful color to cosmetics as pigments do, either.

It’s hard to see that any lipstick maker would use dyes to save money, but it’s possible that they’re trying to make it “long lasting” without using other expensive ingredients or doing expensive research. They may also be using cheap pigments. The only bright red pigments are “lakes,” which are created by chemically bonding dye to a mineral substrate. If the lake is poorly made, some of the dye may not be bonded, and will be free to stain your skin.

Well it could be that or maybe i just left it on to long or to thick but either way i got that horrible color off with some vaseline

My wife got it off her wedding dress with club soda.
Of course, it wasn’t hooker red.
