Tia’s up. Is that the placenta?

There she goes, she’s up! And nuzzling baby.

She’s up now, sniffing her baby.

Now she’s walked away, with what looks like the placenta still hanging out of her.

Lying down again, with barn help in the stall watching quietly. No, up, watching baby trying to get to its feet.

Oh, baby’s got a white left hind foot!

Stall lady is helping little horse to stand. Little horse toppled over anyway. Should we be worried about that?

That is NOT A HANDLE!! LOL…

He’s up!

Wheee! The little horsey’s up!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! Right underneath mom!

Is it just me, or is baby taking too long to get up?

And UP!!!

wobble wobble wobble

leaning butt into mom lol

Down again, dammit.

The other baby didn’t even attempt to stand for over an hour- possibly due to all the interference. This little tyke was trying almost immediately after, and is doing pretty well on those wobbly little legs, especially considering it’s only been an hour. I’m not too concerned.

Up again, and staying up, wobbling, although if mom licks any harder she’ll knock baby over.

ETA, Yes, looking much better, getting the hang of this standing thing.

I missed the whole thing! What’s that hanging out of Tia?

That baby seems much more developed than Kristy.

Tia’s a sweet mom. Nudging and nuzzling. And the baby is so cute! I need to stop watching these. I get so nervous at the end I start thinking I don’t want to breed Nakota, after all.

I was still awake, dammit, but in bed having an argument with my husband. GRR!

Dammit! I missed it too and now I can’t even see the baby at work. Grrrrrrrrrr.

That’s the afterbirth, the placenta.

ETA: Just looked in. Baby was getting a meal; Tia was swishing her tail around. Must be so glad to finally get the wrap off!

ETA 2: China still hasn’t popped; stall really needs picked.

Hmmm, China’s webcam is no longer working.

It’s up now…she’s still pregnant.

I can’t wait to see China’s baby, it’ll be so tiny and cute.
