Live Foaling Cam

Watching the mini horses really makes me want one. Well really what I want is a mom and her bouncy baby.

Ha! She’s back! She poops!

China’s cam is down.

It’s back up. She’s eating. Which means more poop will be forthcoming.

Just got home to this email from China’s human:

Now China’s getting shed out again. That little girl sure has it made, huh?

ETA: Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww – humom’s skritching her and China’s nuzzling humom back.

Nice that they emailed you back.

China seems to require significantly more care than the full-sized horses. She gets groomed quite a bit and of course her stall needs to be cleaned many times a day. Are they just extra attentive with their horses or do minis require more attention and care?

A miniature horse named Blossom, out playing in the sunshine…sounds like a Disney movie.

I think China’s got a devoted mom, is what I think.

Serenia’s got her tail wrapped tonight. Let’s hope! Poor China must be tired of this. She does seem well cared-for.

Serenia is lying down. SHe doesn’t look like shes getting ready to deliver, though.

Mandy is rubbing her rear end on the wall. I know that means something, from watching mare stare!

I’m posting this here because, well… this thread is where all the hporse people are hanging out.

Is anyone else getting a message on Fugly that the account has been suspended?? She was there last night, and this morning… not so much.

Back on topic:

I haven’t been able to pull Mandy’s cam up the last couple nights, just a blank black screen. And little China has stolen my heart totally and completely. I almost got a Mini some years ago and she is awakening that dangerous desire once again.

To make it worse… I am going to see the Lippazaner stallions perform tonight. Expect a huge, giant case of Horsesickness…

Fugly’s been down for a couple of days. No idea why!

Hmmm… I read Fugly last night… Oddness.

I had no idea minis were so adorable!

I saw the Lippizaner Stallions a couple years ago, it was great! They had the speakers up way too loud though, I felt bad for the horses ears. If I went again, I’d take ear plugs with me.

I have seen them perform several times, but not for over 10 years. I am as excited about tonight as a kid!

Taking my camera… if there is any interest (and I get any good shots) I will post pics.

When I clicked into my Fugly bookmark I came to a page with this message:

Shortly thereafter I was automatically forwarded to the active blog.

Oh, yeh, minis are adorable all right – and they can have horse-sized attitudes!

I would not be surprised to discover that the Lipizzaners have cotton wool stuffed in their ears – its’ commonly done to keep horses in loud situations from being distracted form their job.

Great and great indeed – and just clicking in now, I see she has an entire frikkin bale of hay to pick at!

I just wish they’d taken the baling twine/wire off it, though. It’s no danger to her tight, but once she’s eaten enough to loosen it…

Virona’s got her tail wrapped, and she’s the only one on camera at Centaur Farm now bedause they think she’s close to foaling. She’s got a lovely dusting of bedding on her right lfnka[flank dammit] from the nap she just arose from.

China still refuses to pop.

China had been out of her stall for a while and she’s back. And yes, there is more poop.

Mandy is standing with her butt right toward the camera and there is a LOT of foal action goin’ on in her belly/flank area. That is one active baby!
