Live Foaling Cam

THANK GOD.

And I think the baby got a couple sips there when the little (human) girl was standing directly behind mom. Great positioning, that.

Well, they’ev all left now, and baby is exploring in the udder region.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddd

Latch on!

Welcome to the world, sweet dreams little baby.

Thanks for the explanation, bobkitty.

Looks like the stall is peaceful at last.

I’m laughing, watching the little one prance around the stall!
Mom’s like ‘Ok there’s not enough room in here for that, settle down and eat so I can take a nap!’

Yeah, she looked pretty wonderful, prancing around.

The placenta dropped from the mare when she stood up. There was something specific they were pushing the mom away from, but it was hard to tell. Mom licking baby, fine. Mom fussing with something was not. It looked like the mom may have been fooling with the umbilical cord. Several times, the humans kept checking low, almost between the filly’s legs. Then the mare ould start licking there, paying too much attention to that area.

I don’t think they were pushing her away for imprinting, it looked like it was to prevent her from making a mess of the belly-button to be.

I noticed that too, and had the same thought.

Wow! She’s made a little horse!

Want to watch another one?

Tia is due to foal today. She currently seems captivated by her shadow.

I’m pretty sure that this is a picture of the new baby. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. It looks like they just added it but haven’t updated it yet.

It’s snowing there!

Last night I browsed around some of the other cams, and the sheep cam…they were so cold, it was snowing hard! (I know, they aren’t cold. I mean, come on. They have wool coats on and everything)

Yep, that’s her alright, I got a really good look at her side and the markings all match.

oooo - the sire of this not-yet-born foal is Don De Marco, of that beautiful floaty gait we all admired back in the thread about Nakota.

The page says she was due on the 10th but she still doesn’t look like she has foaling on her mind.

Nakota was at Centaur farm three owners ago! I think that stall looks small just because it’s long. If you look, it’s two stalls with the dividing wall knocked out. That means it’s probably 12 X 24.

My goodness – Nakota could have foaled in that very stall!

Oh my gosh, the new foal, Kristy, is running in her sleep. The cuteness knows no bounds.

EddyTeddyFreddy - I found this ad for Nakota’s 2008 billy online. This pic was taken at about 18 months old and she’s already 16 hh. Isn’t she lovely!

 Haha – so adorable. And now she’s up and having a late night snack. What a good mom!

Wow, StG, that Georgia is sure fina!
