First episode of the new season was last night. Yes, the three hosts are Zooming and the rescue workers have masked-up.
I noticed it recording on my Tivo, but it was recording hours earlier than it (or Live PD) would have been on so I assumed it was a rerun.
I’ll give it another shot, but I was only barely hanging on to it to begin with. I still question whether they can survive without Live PD to prop them up.
And, I’ve said it plenty of times before and I’ll keep saying it. Nightwatch (the original one, based in NOLA) was streets ahead of both Nightwatch Nation and Live Rescue.
As much as the live premise makes the show fun to watch, Live Rescue seemed like it had a lot of downtime. Barring, or course, episodes that had huge fires, like the wildfires in CA or a big house fire in NJ a while back.
Anything not 9 - 11 PM EDT is a rerun.
I agree with Joey_P. I love Nightwatch - I just discovered it a few weeks ago and have been recording it whenever it’s on. I’ve watched Live Rescue, but I don’t care for the back and forth to the studio business.
I checked later, it recorded reruns from several months ago. If there was new episodes on, I’m not sure why my Tivo didn’t grab those as well.
The original, right? With Dan and Titus and Nick and Holly? After a few episodes, I could understand everything they were saying even with their accents (well, Holly and a lot of the patients more than anyone else). And I really started liking Keely too.
What always seemed interesting to me, and maybe this is common in other areas or maybe it’s just the way it was edited, the ambulances seemed to be ‘patrolling’ instead of waiting at the station for a call. Not so much on the lookout for problems, but to increase the chances that they’d be closer to a problem when it happened. It seems less efficient than having a some sub-stations scattered around the city.
Yes! Dan and Holly are my favorites. I love their accents - they sound so laid back, happy and kind. I also like the interactions between the partners. I can’t remember her name (Lisa?) she’s the gay female EMT - I wonder why she doesn’t have a partner?
Keeley. She was the one that had the Explorer or Tahoe or something and she’d get up ahead of the EMTs and could start triaging and getting the scene settled down while the ambulance or fire trucks were making their way there.
Assuming we’re talking about the same person, I don’t think she needed a partner since her main goal was simply to get on the scene first and the EMTs were always right behind her.
Yep! That’s her. I watched a few episodes this weekend and wondered how the heck I got Lisa out of Keeley!
You’re probably correct. I noticed her being at the scene before the others arrived in a lot of the cases.
“Scenes of apocalyptic destruction” indeed. Sarge looks like he could be wandering around New Vegas.
