My girl, Kyla’s, got my back.
That’ll be $5.
Woot! Keep chipping away, guys!!
I am watching the game on Dish Satellite, through my local Fox Affiliate. I do not get the local channel in HD.
the game status button on the top left is not completely visible. The very left portion is chopped off. Any suggestion on how to get it on the screen. I can see the score, but the not teams (and yes I realize the Rangers are the top score)
I have scrolled through the normal, zoom, stretch on the dish remote.
and i have scrolled through the aspect ratios on the TV remote. (4x3, 16x9) etc.
And both at the same time.
We’ve had that happen to us before but the situation just corrected itself. Sorry I don’t know how to help you.
I’m late to the party tonight…my computer was crashing earlier so I needed to reload Windows, then I couldn’t figure out why nobody was posting in the Playoff thread…
Anyway…
U - RIBE!
Looks like we’re off to a good start
Well it looks like we’re done for tonight. Good game Giant fans, we’ll see you tomorrow.
Boo
Yeah
!!
Boy, it’s kind of hard to understand why we play Vlad at DH rather than putting him in the field in AL games, isn’t it?
So, baseball fans… Historically, what World Series game had the highest score and the biggest disparity in runs?
I have to admit that I’m a little worried that the Giants are using up all of their offense in this one game and won’t be able to score for the rest of the series.
/paranoid
You sound exactly like my mother…
“Why don’t you guys save some of those runs for tomorrow?!?”
I found this on Wikipedia…
On October 2, 1936, playing the New York Giants, the Yankees set the team record for most runs scored in a single Series game with 18. Players crossed the plate a record 29 times in the highest-scoring World Series game in history on October 20, 1993, as the Blue Jays beat the Phillies 15–14 at Veterans Stadium in Game 4 of the 1993 World Series.
Don’t know. Off the top of my head, Arizona clobbered the Yankees in Game 6 of the '01 series. Milwaukee beat the Cardinals something like 10-0 in Game 1 of the '82 series, and the Cardinals returned the favor in Game 6, winning something like 12-1. I doubt any of these are what you’re looking for. Too lazy to look it up, though.
Will the game even go to the bottom of the 9th?
I was pretty certain that we weren’t going to see Wilson tonight…I guess I was mistaken.
Not unless Texas manages to tie or take the lead. Otherwise it’s over after the top of the 8th.
The fat lady had to take an emergency bathroom break before singing. SF hopes she finishes soon.
ETA: Ah, she finished.
See Kyla, you don’t need to worry. We’re giving some runs back now, so that it’s a closer game. That way the extra runs don’t count against us tomorrow
Full count!
The Beard pitches…Pop-Out!!
