Weird thing is, that when I went to type it, I could only get “. . . loc”. It cut me off. Is there a maximum string length to that field, or am I doing something wrong?
The only thing I can figure is that I’ve got a lot of numbers in my existing location, but they take up less ‘string space’.
Weird. Any ideas?

Leaving for Montana. Will update with UTM as soon as practical.
It used to be longer, but the admins shortened it, however, the restriction is in the entry field, not the database (I think), so you will occasionally see a doper with a location longer than 25 characters, meaning it was entered before the 25 character restriction and hasn’t been edited since.
Also, it’s possible the administrators can change it to one that’s longer than the entry field allows. I know tForum admins can. Or the guy that does the database maintenace can use PHPMyAdmin can plug it directly into the tables. Of course, you’d have to ask REAL nice like…
I can’t imagine they would do that for many reasons here though; perhaps they might cave if you really do live in llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (although perhaps not), but if you just want to change it to something long and inane, there’s no amount of chocolate that will buy it (I reckon).
Unfortunately, I don’t have any yet to offer. However, I can offer my services in lending to a coup in a small, third world nation in South America we might decide to name manhattanito.
Seems my “UTM” location just falls short of the string cutoff by one character. And to think, I thought it was a free for all this whole time.
