I always, always, always veiw locked threads when I see them. I guess I’m just curious as to why they got locked. Usually, it’s mundane, like this is a duplicate thread, but ocasionally it’s for other reasons. Maybe it’s like slowing down to see a car wreck, I can’t resist looking.
Judging by the number of veiws most locked threads have, I’m not alone in this.
I make it a point to look at locked threads. Since I’m a newbie trying to fit in, I’m interested in learning more about what constitutes “being a jerk”. I always want to see what caused a thread to get locked, what is considered inappropriate thread material, what kind of posts can cause a thread to go awry, etc.
Absolutely. You gotta be up on the latest dirt. It’s just disappointing when it was locked because there’s already a thread going on with the same topic, or if the OP asked to have it locked because their question had been answered. I probably wouldn’t have looked at Libertarian’s Pit thread entitled “My Character Weakness” or whatever it was if it hadn’t been locked. And look what I would have missed!
I always, always, read locked threads. Sometimes threads are deleted, and if I miss them, I can’t keep track of what everybody’s ranting about for the rest of the week.
I can barely keep things straight as it is… god forbid I should miss something.
Maybe I’m just tired… Then again, maybe I’m just dumb…
Whatever the reason…
I just can’t figure out Libertarian’s thread. For the most part, it seemed like a touching tribute to the memory of his brother. The ending threw me off a bit.
What I really don’t get are the nasty responses.
Over all, I’m just really confused. Could someone kindly explain?
Star Light, read the thread that’s linked to in Libertarian’s pit thread and all will be clear.
As far as locked threads, I almost always open them unless it’s a long long thread that’s presumably being locked due to length. If I haven’t been following it to begin with, it would take too much time to figure out what’s going on most of the time.
