Neither TruePisces nor Verrain have been seen since the board went to subscriptions. TP told me they were just too busy (they had not been actively posting for a few months or so), so they couldn’t see spending the money.
Kinda sad, considering this is where they met…
It might depend on where Earthling got his information. After all, if the name change was announced or referred to in a thread (i.e., “I used to be so and so”), then it’s fair game to be reproduced here.

Sure, I know that. I believe that I stated the issue to him quite precisely.
Not really that sad. A goodly number of former regs migrated to LJ during the Winter of Our Missed Content, and like Geobabe once said, it’s like a souped-up version of MPSIMS over there. Hundreds of present and former Dopers are active over there these days; it’s the same community, just in a different form.
I’ve noticed Monty hasn’t posted in a while. I always liked his posts.
London_Calling posts regularly as Ding Dong over on NADS. As do quite a few others that don’t post here as regular as they used to. Including myself.

He’s one of the Dopers that made the migration to livejournal. He’s not updated in a while as he’s been looking for work recently but otherwise, he seems to be very happy in his marriage and with his kids.
Davebear left SDMB when the OMFG-thread was closed. He and I still e-mail, but I miss his posts.
TruePisces and Verrain
I’m in a gaming group with them. Besides LJ, I believe that they are active on Arden Ranger’s Amber board. Verrain should be getting his PhD in a few months.

We are not aware that any substantive question has been raised about the provenance of Scylla’s blimp post; in the discussion elsewhere to which you apparently refer, the issue was raised and dismissed. On a lighter note: anyway to get some LJ names (or communities) where some of the leavers post as at? Grammar not being ones of me strong points. Because, not everyone uses the same names over there. I would love to expand my friends list.
Verrain is a Moderator on Shadows of Amber and TruePisces will be one too by Monday.
I know they were active on Unaboard at one time but I don’t know if they still are. I haven’t been around much either.
