Hmm…tough call. I’d say no. Go with what you got.
(And for the record…I went with b).

My brother used to have a ritual. If someone said his name for any reason, he’d immediately say “is great!” so it would sound like a whole sentence of praise. If someone said my name, it would automatically be “is gay!” One day, Mom called his name, and he said the wrong thing, and it is still one of the shining perfect moments of my childhood.
Yes.
I hear the “Pixie Cut” is making a come-back. You should look into that 'do.
Well, I was going to choose option a) but I see I’m too late. It could be because I’ve been ratcheting down since January (and hence have gotten 5 pounds off that I never really cared to be carrying).
Training all morning, more of it this afternoon. It’s good training, but boy is it tough to sit still for so long.
What is it with men and hair extremes? Generally, at least in the population of men I know, their preferences are “extremely short” or “extremely long”. There is no in-between. I don’t get it.
I had a pixie cut from the time I was three or four through first grade.
Bobbio, you crack me up. That is indeed funny.
Drae, my son was doing the whole kinda “complete the sentence” thing when his name or another’s was mentioned. Thank goodness he quit.
It’s killing me. [/obligatory]
Sorry I missed checking in this morning. Late night last night working on electromagnetic theory homework. Here’s your latest meat fix:
It’s, uh, mutton to sneeze at.
Winston, I have three words for you: flock of seagulls.
Drae, you win this week for the History of the World reference. Don’t get saucy with me, Bernaise! Hehe.
Now I’m off to send people emails telling them they’re mentally unstable.
Took me years to get that. Like Blazing Saddles, I learned the movie by heart when I was too young to understand most of the jokes, then didn’t see it again until I was in my twenties. I love the jokes that jump out at you like that.
I’d need to see a before pic to make an informed decision - and my answer also depends on if you’re m or f (I must have missed the disclosure post
)
I’ve heard some guys say that freshly cut hair looks it, and that makes them not happy. Most gals I know make a point of going to the salon as close as an hour before the function, so their hair is perfect.
Does that help?
Er, I’m a moron. :smack: Those three words are for Wintermute. :smack:
Simila thing. Insults start with the usual “You’re ugly…” shtick.
Sister adds a wrinkle>
Me: You’re ugly.
She: Everyone says we look like twins.
I manage to turn the tables on her, and use the twins line on her. Her response: “Yeah. My butt and your face.”
Hilarity ensued when she tried that, and it came out “Your butt and my face”.
Penis did not ensue, because that would be oogie, and we weren’t that dysfunctional…
Has anybody here ever had mutton? I like lamb but it IS strongly flavored. I’m trying to imagine mutton being more “flavorful” than lamb. Oh well, chances of my ever having it are nearly nil.
I don’t think we have us a OP for next week yet, do we? Don’t make me do another installment of Dog Face.
Another important message for taxi. From over in Khadaji’s new job thread. They suggested you try United Health Care because their headquarters are in Minnesota. They do seem to have a bunch of openings in Minnesota.
swampy, meant to say yesterday that you definitely need to go to the Ohio State Fair sometime. It’s fun. They have all kinds of fried stuff and animals and entertainment and rides and contests and butter sculptures (the traditional cow plus a tableau that changes annually). I mean, who could resist all this fun? Fortunately, they still have last year’s press releases on their Web site so you can get an idea of the events they have. it’s August 2-13 this year. ::Is astonished at the number of MMPers who put this on their calendars.::
I don’t think I’ve ever tried mutton, puggy. Lamb isn’t my very favorite except… Mexican lamb barbecue, which used to be one of my favorites. (Haven’t had it in a really long time.) It’s not anything you’d make at home, though. (It’s one of those ox- or pig-roast like deals where it’s cooked in a pit for hours and hours and you have to line the pit with the right kind of leaves and stuff.)
Hi Rue!!! Sorry you took it on the chin…
My brother and I look a lot alike too. Or at least that’s what people tell us. We don’t really see the resemblance, but when we were little, we would both put on hooded sweatshirts and make the neighborhood kids guess who they were talking to. When we got to college, there was a lady at the cafeteria who asked me if I had a twin brother. We both ate lunch in the same place around the same time of day, so it didn’t take too long to figure out that she was talking about my non-twin (year and a half younger) brother.
Tiring tiring day. I was up at 5:00, at work at 6:45 and in our meeting from 8:30-12:00 and 1:30-3:30. We got quite a bit done, but there’s lots of follow up left to do. I’ve been half-dozing on the couch since I got home.
I suspect it’ll be an early evening. (Especially since I didn’t do so well at the early evening thing last night…)
Winnie, if you don’t have someone you trust to give you a decent cut, I’d hold off.
I’m sure there’s more, but I think I really need a nap first.
Back later.

Whew - I’m beat. Ceiling painted, entire room primed, some trim painted.
Plan for tomorrow: second coat of primer on room, paint the closet, then paint the room. Maybe cut out drapes.
Saturday: Class in the morning, maybe a second coat on the room in the afternoon. Paint the trim.
Sunday: Sew curtains and bed cover. Put room together. DONE!
Monday: come to San Diego to start painting my condo
What?
Sure, scout, I’ll be there. Just be sure to leave the light on in case I get in late…

Winnie you should just get a trim to take care of split ends and stuff. Then this summer you can get this hair cut. It’s you all over!
Veggie soup and Benadryl [sup]TM[/sup] do wonders for hurty sinuses. I’ve been snoozing off and on most of the day since I left work. I could go back to sleep right now cept I’m trying to stay up for a while longer so I’ll sleep all night cause I need to go to work tomorrow. Plus, Saturday is the big Bass tournament and I have to be there. The good news is it’s still rainy here which helps wash away some of the friggin’ pine pollen. I still say my neighbors need to keep their pine pollen in their own yards and quit lettin’ it get all over my yard! GRRRRR!
Wasn’t that woman in a Conan movie wearing a g-string? I was cruelly forved to watch a Conan movie a few years ago. Her g-string was even more scarring that Arnold’s terrible acting.
The stew turned into goulash, and it’s quite good. Yum.
Dress rehearsal went very well - we all look smashing in the costumes - over the weeked I’ll post a pic of me and maybe one of the chorus, too. But my knees and back are shot - I thought we were going to do the two songs and maybe two others - we ended up doing 5 songs before the 2 song package. I need better shoes or a new body. But I think the shoes will be easier to get…
oy, I’m tired!
Ah! A friend just emailed me this that he took with his phone
ok - too wound up to go to sleep yet so I uploaded this one. Keep in mind, this is after we performed, and I did not do my full make up.
